R53 GP that I've spotted twice in the past two weeks, been dying to catch the owner but always going opposite directions.

Spotted in Fort Myers on College Parkway and Pine Ridge Rd.

 

Not many people from Ft Myers area come on here. At least that is what I have found out through the years.

I travel that area but what time a day have you seen it?

 

Once in the late afternoon 3-4pm and the other time around 1pm.

yea i noticed not a whole lot going on up this way. found a few groups on facebook but gotta travel more south for any meetups usually.

 

Might have seen you in the last couple of days. Saw one on Holly Drive and one in the Lowe's parking lot today.

 

I'm in Fort Lauderdale area - would like to participate in a rally some day soon.

either of you go to the track day Braman put on last month at Palm Beach International Raceway? I went and watched. I figured there must have been a catch since it was free, but no strings.

 

I did not. I thought there would be a catch as well. The mini portion of Braman is in the new building now. No more BMW325i loaners anymore :(

I'll tell you Laurence is the best service writer I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Someone either stole/fell off my rear badge and even though I'm over 36k miles still gave me a new one for free and unclogged my windshield wiper bottle for free. I heard there's a car show once a month at the new Palm Beach Outlets and quite a few minis show up there.

What is up with every mini owner in Palm Beach going 10 mph under the speed limit. Some serious grandmother drivers out there lately.

 

Saw a couple minis today, had to run from jupiter to south miami (cutler bay). Mostly turnpike and sawgrass. Had a nice r53/56 nonS catch me on the Sawgrass on way back, pretty sure it was gold, lowered

lol 10 under I think is because of 90% of drivers I see are older. I try my hardest to just cruise at the speed limit when I'm in no hurry, but inevitably I get caught up with the same 3 or 4 cars that get off on messing up the flow otherwise most the time I keep up with faster traffic

 

OK so there were a couple hundred cars at the Palm Beach outlet mall monthly car show this past Sunday. First off let me say you see everything from right hand drive Nissans to supercars. I saw 3 minis parked next to each other. One was a completely stock clubman parked diagonally to purposely take up two spots. I don't even think it was a Cooper S. The three of these drivers looked to have plastidipped wheels and one kept over revving their engine to cause backfire looking like a complete ricer. What a horrible display of Mini at this massive car show. If the owner of the clubman ever reads this....you don't need to park your 18k dollar clubman diagonal. No one is going to scratch your stock base model and you made Mini owners look silly.

 

Hope they had FL plates...

 

I wanted to show up for the cars and coffee but on a Sunday morning its tuff to get out before 1pm..Yes..a Mini GTG would be cool...but like someone said most owners down here have blue hair and drive 15 under the speed limit...

 

I have some grey hair but seldom am able to stay even close to the speed limit. The Mini brings out my dark side.

I see loads of minis around no one ever acknowledges the other.

mine is pretty much stock, rarely cleaned/washed not exactly something to show off, but i should getting downpipe back from ceramic coating this week. I want to get it and intercooler on this weekend, and try and get it tuned in the next few weeks

tints to dark to see in most of the time, but since its been nice out i'll drive with windows down - i'll peak in at other mini drivers and if they notice i'll give a little nod or wave but i can count on one hand the times someones acknowledged.

 

Cars and coffee, any of you coming?
