Come on up to Ft.Lauderdale on Friday and see the biggest weekly car show in the SE USA. Called Tower Shoppes and its full of awesome cars. If your interested let me know and I will hook you up with more info.
Head off to South Beach a park your car in one of the coverd Garage lot near Ocean Drive. take a walk on Ocean and find yourself an open air cafe (munch and drink to your hearts content). Then if weather permits, hit the beach and find yourself a nice spot somewhere between 10th street and 7th (enjoy the view ... catch the thong of the day). Go to the hotel rest and relax, the go back to South Beach and hit the club scene. The beach has something for every lifestyle, the people are nice and the scenery is great.
By the way, do the Calle Ocho bit as well, don't leave Miami without having a Cuban meal (with a Cuban Coffee chaser) and a full Brazilian Rodiso (Porcao).
Cheers

you MUST have a late night snack at 11th Street Diner - on 11th Street and Washington in South Beach.
Also, an afternoon sunning on the pure-white sands of the beaches in Key Biscayne is one of my favorites. Be sure to check out the Taco Bell on Dixie in Coral Gables about 5-6am, it's always packed with UM students returning from the clubs
Bring sunblock (if you burn at all), and lots of anti-perspirant, lol mmmm, humidity

I’m surprised that two of the first people to respond didn’t say visit http://www.sunshineminis.org and check out the forums or talk to the MINI people there.

Lincoln Road on Miami Beach is a good spot to see Miami Lifestyle and get some decent food, try El Rancho Grande for great Mexican and Margaritas (I prefer the straight Tequilla).
Ryephile when did you attend UM? I am an Undergrad and Grad Alum too!

>>Wow, I think everything has been mentioned, you also might want to check out Bayside in Downtown Miami- nice view, and good food. Hey guys I am currently a student at UM.

>>Enjoy
Ok if you happen to make it to Bayside Markeplace don't use their coverd parking lot ... those blood sucking leeches want $8.00 flat rate on the weekends and after five. I'd park in the undergound parking to of the American Airlines Arena ... next door to Bayside (maybe go to Bongo's and eat and drink there). Oh and make sure the Miami Heat is not playing that night otherwise your paying $25.00 for parking.
Cheers

You are formally invited to "Minis of Miami" weekly meet Thrusday nite @ 8:00PM. Send me a private message for directions. A lot of us would be really honored to have you here next week.
I live in the heart of the City of Miami, so I can give you tips for some nice places to visit. Weather has been fantastic here so far. Today we had a postcard perfect day, cool crisp air, not a single cloud on the sky and the most beautiful Sunset you can imagine.
