Saturday March 6th is the date of the Mini only Evolution driving School


On a side note:
Sunday March 7th there is a Autocross Event with the Martin Sports Car Club. Jean from Evolution indicated to me that if enough Minis want to stay over for the Autocross on Sunday they will probably make a special Mini class for us.

After reading about the Ryen Neal Memorial Event I have decided to donate half the funds raised for this event to that cause. I will also be more than happy to pass on any further donations anyone would like to give at the driving school.

So here is all the info I can pass on for now

Cost: $50 -Prefer it paid in advance.

There will be 3 run groups
8-10 a.m.
10 a.m - 12 p.m.
12-2 p.m.

2-5 p.m. will be fun runs for anybody there that wants to run some more or any others that are not in the school and just want to run their minis.



I am laying out the $1500 for this event I will be collecting the cost of the event. I will not profit from this in any way. $50 x 30 drivers = $1500. If we are under 30 drivers good news for you as it equates to more seat time - bad news for me more money out of my pocket.

The driving directions given at Yahoo maps leave a lot to be desired. I am more a visual driver when it come to directions. I will draw a map soon and post it. I almost got lost heading up there this past weekend.

As far as written directions go these from the Martin Sports Car Club are good.

I will be attending a school there this weekend and will look into local lodging. I will edit this when I have worked out a deal.

I am heading back up in 2 weeks for another driving school. I am staying overnight and will report back on the Hotels/Motels in the area as well as prices. I will do my best to negotiate a good price

My office # is 772-398-4290 you can reach me there from 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-12 on Friday if you have any concerns over mailing a check. I am paying for this out of my business acct. hence the Atlantic Land Design.

Or you can mail a deposit for a spot in the school in the amount of $10 the $40 balance will be due at the school.

I will be providing Burgers and Dogs with salads. There will be a limited number of soft drinks so bring something to drink for yourself as well as something to sit on.

I know our cars are new but this needs to be covered. Make sure your car is in good shape. Good tires. Battery secure, lug nuts torqued (I will have a torque wrench there) no loose items in the car drivers floor mat removed. Radar detactor and garage door opener removed as well.

We will be inspecting the cars for safety reasons. It is your responsibility to make sure it is up to par

Sounds interesting. Now is the the full Evolution Phase 1 driving school, or something just pulled together for MINI drivers?
