You heard me right...South Florida (Broward Mini Club) is putting on another great event.
Plan on it lasting most of the day.
Plan on bringing your MINI and a friend or two or three but that's it! (there isn't any room left in the MINI).

Everyone whose anyone remembers last year's "MINI Meet 3 - Rally Fun"... in fact, it was a turning point for lots of us in that it was the first time we met! Well, Aimee and I are at it again but this time we're changing it up a little! Last year's rally required attention to detail and a certain amount of brain power... Well, this time you'll need all your brain cells (both of them)!!! Also, it wouldn't hurt to have an OCD CPA, a chemist and a midget on your team, either!

That's right folks, what we did last year for the rally, we're doin' this year for a hunt! Not a scavenger hunt, exactly, and not a witch hunt either! Kind of a mix of the two! Call it The Hunt for Mid November, call it MINI Meet 3 II, call it what you want, but you'll be calling your mom to cry about it if you miss it!

So, in case you haven't already done so, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 15th. Set your tractor beam (or your NAV if you've got it) on Hollywood, Florida, and synchronize your watches - the meet will start at 9, the hunt promptly at 10. We'll hand out instructions etc. beginning at about 9:30...

And, if any of you know me, you also know the importance of the phrase "Hot Doughnuts Now" ...

There won't be many more details about it till then, if you've got questions, post 'em and we'll do our best to (selectively) answer! We're trying to make this a free event, the only thing that may be in question would be lunch - we've not gotten into it yet as far as sponsors for grub... we could always have it catered and have everyone chip in for food, or it could be a picnic-type deal where you bring your own meals... feel free to post ideas on the nosh issue...

9:30 for notes & instructions

WHERE: Hollywood’s Young Circle, intersection of US1 and Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood Florida
WHY: Because we like you!

Questions that have been asked:

Can a lone driver accomplish this competition?
YES, but it will definitely be more difficult that way

Is there a cost for the event?
NO! Thanks to Lauderdale MINI, Hot Doughnuts now AND lunch will be covered!

Speeds during the event
While we know you all love to drive fast, this isn’t a time/speed/distance thing… getting to the end game first is important, but getting there with the right answers is paramount!

Is it going to be a requirement to stop and get out of the car?
YES

Do we have to collect items?
MAYBE

Do we have to wear funny outfits? (waitress, hawaiian shirts, mickey mouse ears, etc)
If you dress funny, who are we to judge?

PRIZES: There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the first three teams to make it to the end game, and with the right answers! Keep in mind though, if you team up with a fellow MINI owner, you’ll have to flip a coin for who wins the prize!

Mark Odom & Foreign Affairs have graciously offered prizes which will be done as a raffle! As the prizes are likely MINI specific, it will be one raffle entry per MINI – so those of you teaming up for the hunt still have just as fair a chance to win one of the raffle prizes.

NEW INFO: We will be offering event t-shirts for sale! The price for the shirts will be $10. Please PM me if you are interested so I can get a count on how many we’ll need. If you want to ensure you get the size you want please be sure to PM me!
We’ve got a snazzy boy/girl friendly design in the works, which we’ll post on Monday!
