Just spoke with Jan (the man is still working ) and have paid the reqd. $350.00 . He did mention that Mr Ingsoc was doing exams!!!! ???? so probably be scarce on the scene whilst he takes care of business .

Hey guys. Sorry for the silence. I've had exams AND I got engaged . I'll post an update tonight. We're good to go.

 

Sorry guys, I'm not going to be able to follow through with the tune... I'm hunting down a boost leak and the extra money I have is going to be put towards that. I have a DT bypass valve in the mail... I was going to put that money towards new injectors for the tune. I hope all of you the best with the tune and I apologize again.

Sorry, again, for the delay.

We are on for the 19th/20th. We have 17 people so far. It is safe to say that we will have two essentially packed days of tuning .

Jan and a number of the participants believe that it would be best for us to send a deposit of the $350 for Jan's tune up front to ensure that we keep the numbers predictable (if people drop out, it will increase our individual dyno costs).

SO, please contact Jan by pm at "Revolution Mini Works" or by phone at (949) 456-9590 [remember he's on the West Coast!] to arrange your deposit. When you pay him, please post that you have done so here in this thread (my pm box keeps filling up...lol).

I will be returning individual pms and telling everyone who is confirmed the above, via pm, over the next day.

I heard back from Jan. He's really busy with a whole bunch of good stuff that's coming up . I left my deposit.

So far, only 4 people have left deposits. We MUST have everyone give a deposit to sure up the #'s. Post here when you have given Jan your deposit.

Hi there,

I'm new to the MCS world. Just bought an 05 MCS on Friday and it's the best freakin car I've ever owned. I am purchasing the 15% pulley and colder plugs this week from Altoa. Do you think it would be worth it having Jan tune my MCS with just these two mods? What kind of gains have you guys seen with the tune. I drive a lot each day and the MCS is my daily driver so I was to maintain reliability and fuel economy, but at the same time I want to have some fun with it. Let me know your thoughts....

I'd love to ride down to Sarasota to get a tune instead of buying the Alta ECU mod for 700 bones.

 

Is there still room? I want in!!! I just emailed Jan for some details since I'm new to the MCS world. Just bought on 05 on Friday and it' AMAZING! I live in Tampa Bay so it's not even 1 hour from me. Let me know if there is still room. I'd like to do it on that Sunday if possible.

 

Im going to get ahold of Jan this week to pre-pay and also order a pulley from alta. Ill have to put off the head/exhaust for another time. Ill keep ya posted.
