If I had another month I could do the head also but I think it will have to wait. No biggie if I wait cause then I'll upgrade the JCW injectors to the 440's and re flash.

snM3 checking in. I'll take the earliest session, if possible.

Update 2/15:

Jan cannot make the 3/31 date, so we're going to move the tuning back on week, to 4/5 and (if necessary) 4/6. I'm emailing all that have confirmed to check if this works.

I can't confirm 100% right now, but I'm definitely interested in participating, so please add me to the list.

Update 2/16:

It looks like the 5th/6th will not work for enough people.

I've pmed people about possibly doing 4/19-4/20.

Anyone else who is interested, we may be able to fit you in (but those who have already responded have priority...)

Pricing should be $350 for Jan's tune plus roughly $100 for dyno time (we get the dyno for $1000 a day- that's 7:30 am to 9:00 pm or so...Jan can do roughly 10 (maybe a few more) cars in one day). So, roughly $450 total...perhaps less.

There are dynos on NAM showing the effect of Jan's tune on JCW's. I believe some are in the links that I provided. Shall I confirm you?

I am sorry this is all new to me but If my car goes in to the dealer does this void the warrente? & if they do a reflash does it wipe this out? If the answer to these questions is no then sing me up

You can private message Jan at "Revolution Mini Works" here on NAM with any of your questions. Just let me know!

There are now 14 people who have expressed interest in the April 19th/20th date.

Good news, the date is a go. Bad news, we may have too many people for 1 day and too few for 2 days.

The dyno will stay open basically "as long as we need." He said they are open at 7:30 am and they will stay open into the night "but 10 pm may be a bit late."

Bottom line, we'll be cutting it close trying to get all 14 cars done in one day, and an additional date will be $1000 flat rate. This is the difference between ~$100 for dyno time each to ~$140 each. If we get 20 people, dyno time is $100 each, again.

Jan can do 1 or 2 days, and so can the dyno.

I'll leave the offer open until this Saturday, 2/23. If you want to join in, please let us know by then.

I am currently trying to decide whether or not to have people leave a deposit to ensure that there are no cancellations. I have written Jan to ask if he can accept a deposit.

Please leave posts here (my pm box keeps filling up!!!) if you have an opinion re: 1) a deposit and 2) possibly paying an extra ~$40 each to allow everyone a chance.

Ingsoc, out!

Hey... I'm very interested in a custom tune; especially from Jan. Just wondering if there is a set location yet... I live in middle GA. so if its too far I may need to get a hotel for the night before. Thanks

So I'm almost 100% positive I want to join in. The only thing holding me back is if I will have the money by then but from the looks of it I should.

There are now 16 people interested. The real problem that we'll have is keeping costs predictable. If all 16 come, that will require 2 days of dyno time, so each of us will pay $125 for dyno costs ($2000/16). And, the 2nd day will not be full (we think that 10 cars can go in one day).

I want to make sure that the event "sells out" so that everyone's costs will be as low as possible. So, I want to find 4 more people. Please, everyone, ask all of your friends and help find those 4 other people.

Even then, we MUST ensure that everyone who has expressed interest will be there. To ensure that all people do follow through, I think that we should all give deposits up front.

Below is a copy of a note from Jan regarding deposits. Since it is extremely important for us to have people committed as we plan for the dyno tuning, I believe that we should send in deposits to Jan.

<<Re: Dates
yes, I can take the deposits up front... it's better that way
we take MC, Visa, AMEX
best to do the $350, that way they stay committed>>

Is anyone opposed to sending a deposit of $350 to Jan, let's say by Saturday, March 1. I will cap the number of participants at 20. Please, everyone interested, say so by this Saturday, 2/23.
