OK, I got a rate back from the Wyndham and we can get rooms for Saturday September 6th for $139 each. This doesn't include tax which is 11.5% Trick is we'll need a minimum of 10 rooms so all ya'all considering going need to stand up and be counted. We'll be able to store our luggage and use the beach/pool/etc prior to check in at 4pm and after checkout on Sunday (11am)...

Those of you who were considering coming down on Friday may want to try to make it to Tower Shops (Ft. Lauderdale area) for more MINI fun...

On a different note, we'll need some ideas for meeting places/times on Saturday morning.

 

I am standing up to be counted but I don't think you can see me...so I am posting that I will need 1 of those 10 rooms.

 

Can we get that rate for more than one night?

 

I'm sure that rate will be fine for both nights, I sent an email anyway to find out...

minimotorin' noticed a few things in the proposal to stay at the Wyndham:

Maid Gratuity $2.00 per room, per day
Porterage $6.00 roundtrip
Delivery charges $3.00 In room
RESORT FEE
In response to comments from our guests and to meet the expectations of experienced resort travelers, The Wyndham Key West Resorts have developed a standard of resort services which eliminates several incidental charges in favor of a daily resort fee of $12.00 per room...

This will make the rooms actually about $178 each per night (ouch), so keep this in mind when budgeting...

Since we only need 5 rooms to get the discount maybe I'll just con someone in to spliting one with me.

I absolutely can NOT believe my damn luck!!!!!
First I have to leave on a biz trip and miss the pulley party in Lauderdale.
Then I have to work and miss the Daytona Loop...
And NOW again I have to be in Vegas (work, trust me) and I'll miss Key West!!
I live in Punta Gorda folks...but I'm seriously thinking that I will never get to meet any of my fellow MINI owners here in FL.... How can I be this unlucky???? Boo Hoo Hoo....

I know you'll all have a blast!!!!!!! Wish I could make it...
