Moving from Chicago to Charlotte

I have received a great job offer at Doug Herbert Performance Parts and obviously I accepted. I see there is a great MINI community down there which is great! Can anyone recommend a good dealer? Preferably one that isn't afraid of mods and understands the need to mod this car? (I've only done springs so it isn't like my car is blown out!) I've noticed I can go to either the dealer in Winston-Salem or the one in South Carolina, but which one???? Thanks for any help on any level, I really appreciate it. Hope to see everyone soon!

Craig

Welcome to Charlotte. I have lived here for 11 years and love the Carolinas.

We have a great MINI community that is growing all the time. We also have some of the best roads to drive your MINI on.

We have 3 great MINI dealerships in the Carolinas. I bought my MINI at Century in Greenville, SC. I am completely satisfied with the level of service I have received. They also installed my JCW kit. Both Century and Charleston MINI give M2C2 club members a 10% discount on MINI parts.

If I can help with any information about the Charlotte area, please PM me. How soon before you move?

Thanks
George

George,

Thank you for the information. At least hearing about a good dealer makes me feel a bit at ease. I've had great experience here in Chicago at Bill Jacobs MINI, and it'll be nice to keep that going! Thanks again and I hope to meet up with you guys some time soon. My job starts at the beginning of Sept, so it's a mad rush to get the house sold and get everything together. Fun, but stressful!

Just to expound on what George (Mininc) said, Century MINI in Greenville is the best, and one of their service techs is pro-mod...

Flow in Winston-Salem is absolutely the best - I can't recommend them highly enough. BTW, how about bringing down some Giordano's?

Giordano's!!!! One of the things I'll miss most about Chicago is the pizza! Thank you for the reminder so I can get one before I leave! Maybe we can look into having them ship some overnight for a Panthers game? (I'm still a Bear at heart but I'll root for the local team as long as they aren't playing each other!)

So now I have choices for dealers? WOW!!!!!! Thank you so much for the advice everyone, this is great!

Craig - Giordano's will ship half-baked frozen pizza anywhere you want. The shipping cost is a little steep but I do it all the time and it cooks up great!

Welcome to North Carolina!

The last time I was in Chicago on business, most of the folks I was with headed out to "such-n-such" steakhouse for dinner on the town. I declined and hit the local Giordano's. Guess who had the better time. I agree - the stuff's terrific! (Gino's East is a close second - that cornbread-based crust you know)

Lucky me! I had Giordano's last night and of course I'll have the remaining pieces this evening! I'll admit Gino's is great too, but I can never get enough of Giordano's! As soon as I get settled down there, I'll order the pizzas for on of the GTGs!
