I don't mean to gripe, but I thought MINI owners were supposed to have some kind of bond, like Harley Owners. You never see two Harleys pass without them waving to one another. So whats up with the MINI owners in G-Ville. We pass you guys all the time in a hard to miss LY MCS and nobody waves back. Not sure how we can have a group of people who enjoy a common interest together if they won't even wave to each other. Ok, I'm done and I'll keep waving.

Lakesands,

I'll most likely be picking my chili red/white MCS from the repair shop next week. I'll let you know the time, so you can ride by Century, and I'll wave at you.

Sorry to hear you've run into some unfriendly folks. Sometimes people just don't see. Sometimes people are just rude. I grew up in a small town, and we waved at everyone. I wish some things didn't change.

See ya,
JS

Lakesands,

Whereabouts do you motor? I'm in the Simpsonville area and motor all around Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Eastside, Westside, etc. If I ever see ya, I'll definitely wave!

Do you work over off of Haywood Road-East North St area in an office complex? I have seen a liquid yellow w/ white stripes over that way.

Cabbage

No that is actually a very friendly fellow motorer who we have stopped and spoken to before at Sonic. He as a MC with driving lights our is an MCS, no lights, but has tinted windows. My wife actually drives the car most of the time and is on the East side a lot, but we get around all over. Hope to meet you sometime Cabbage.

Many times I have just not been looking the right place to wave at fellow MINI's. Sometimes they're in the oncoming lane behind an SUV so I don't see them until it's too late. Sometimes I'm turning and don't want to wreck by waving.
Most of the time when I drive in heavy traffic I tend to know where all the cars around me are...but I don't usually take the time to see WHAT those cars are...just that they're their.

My MINI is a bit distinctive. If you ever see a Dark Silver MINI with a black roof and 2 custom checkerboard stripes on the front and back, that's me.
Post here if you see me and I don't wave and I'll profusely apologize, hehe

I live in Mauldin and work in the downtown area, so those are the places you're most likely to spot me.

Lakesands,
Gee, I hope that wasn't me that didn't wave. I live in Taylors, work near the BMW manufacturing facility. If Tweety and I fail to wave, please accept our sincere apologies... we're usually in the 'zone' groovin to golden oldies while blissfully motoring.
Come and join us tomorrow at Exit 19A at Fuddruckers.

Yeah, I have also noticed some folks in the Greenville area don't wave. In my experience, the "nonwavers" have been driving the MC. I just thought it was jealousy

Sorry, can't make the Fudruckers meeting. Monday is Bible Study night. I am sure you guys are right, people just don't pay attention to things around them when in a hurry to get to work or the kids or whatever. Hope you guys enjoy the evening and have some good food.

I live in Easley, and currently work in Spartanburg. So, If you see a BRG/W MC with white bonnet stripes bombing up I-85 around 7:00 am or coming back down after 5:30, It's me

Trainman,
I'll look for you. I traverse the 385, Pleasantburg area a lot and my wife does as well. To include pics you first have to add you rpics to the gallery on the site. Then add a link to those pics in your sig by copying the address from the pic properties tab and surround that address with-

Hope that helps.

Trainman,
ok look at the last post and take all the spaces out and that is your syntax to surround the address with. I hope all that helps.

Maybe people are blinded by the yellow? I do think there are new drivers that are trying to find their innerMINI and have yet to yeild to the enthusiasm.

Very nice Trainman. Gotta love the stripes. Although I am toying with the notion of aftermarket stripe os some kind. Would like boot stripes as well.
