Mark -

Absolutely love the site, and this is BY NO MEANS a criticism, just a thought I had. How difficult would it be possible to include in the member info section an area for info about our minis, i.e. color, options, etc. Also, I know there is a location box, but maybe something more specific like city, state, country.

And then (this is where its all leading to), an ability to search on or review this info. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to stalk anyone, but when I see the LY/B MC in my neighborhood, I'm curious who on here it might be. Also, as I'm on the waitlist for my mini (with time to still change my mind on colors, options, etc), it'd be interesting to see how many IB/W MCSs are in the area, as I'd like to be unique. Keep up the good work. minicooperonline is my new most frequented site.

Actually this is great constructive feedback! What I would ideally like to include is having members enter their zip or postal code to keep registration simple. Then you would be able to do searches to find other members, clubs, etc. within a certain distance.

As for information about your MINI I would encourage everyone to include that information in your signature.

Thanks again for the feedback...this is something that I really want to do for the site so hopefully you'll have it available in the next couple of months.

That is an excellent suggestion!

Also, the ability to query all the car specs in that area for stats on types of cars ordered and, as you said, knowing where MINIACS are in our area.

Thanks Mark. I do, as most everyone else, put the info in my sig. Just thought if it was in the account info, that it would be easier to do a search to find out how many IB/W MCSs were in my area, or how many miniacs are getting the sport package. Kind of like WWWEBB mentioned.

The only reason that I'm not fond of putting lots of vehicle related information in the registration system is that it will make upgrades much more difficult when new versions of software are available to us. That said, perhaps what would be useful is to have an "owner database" where all this information could be captured, searched, etc.

That really hits the nail on the head. I'm not familiar with the software that you're using to run the site. (Although it is VERY nice.) I assumed the info for the registration/account was a user database of sorts. If it's possible to build that into a seperate DB and incorporate it into the site, that would definitely be the best of both worlds. Then I could do my search to find out who was driving the DS/B MCS that whipped by me yesterday in traffic. (I'm jealous  )
