Mr. Econ & mbabischkin,
Thanks for the question and answer. I was having the same problem. I had loaded in some photos in my gallery and wasn't sure what the URL number was. I chose the photo from the gallery that I wanted and then right clicked on the photo to "properties" then the URL comes up. It should be something like https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ium/??????.JPG.
The only problem I am now having is trying to size the photo. It takes up almost the whole page. Any ideas?
Thanks

You could start with the image resizing tool from Microsoft, which you can get from them for free here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
To use it after installing, just right click on the photo you want to resize and select the resolution, my suggestion is to use the smallest. Then upload the file it creates.
fix8ted your sig is too large, please make it smaller.

My problem was trying to get the picture to meet the site guidelines:
SIGNATURES
A maximum of 300 characters OR an image with dimensions of 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels and filesize of 40k or less is allowed.
I think I finally achieved it, but the quality of the picture sucks. I see a lot of sigs that seem to exceed the requirements, or maybe they have some techniques that I don't know about, and are quite clear and detailed. Anyway, I have something that works for now, so thanks to mbabischkin. Perhaps the signature edit page should have better instructions for us computer neophites.

The fact is, we don't enforce the sig guidelines too strictly. As long as you're close and your sig isn't a multi-megabyte image that takes up a huge chunk of screen real-estate then you don't need to worry about it.
There are some board where they are very stringent about the sig guidelines, you can't even upload a picture that exceeds the guidelines, and if you put too much text in your sig you get a nastygram from the site mods...
Honestly I thought the sig guidelines were silly, that is until I visited a site that didn't impose any on their members. I keep my screen resolution pretty high, and even still I quickly got annoyed by reading posts that were only a paragraph or two long and then having to scroll pasts these huge sigs with multiple pictures of amember's car, girlfriend, ex-girl friend, cell phone, favorite railroad logo, and then a vanity graffic...
