I think there should be a North Texas board... "South" is way too large of an area

This brings up a very good question that I would like to get your feedback on....Given that we already have almost 30 forums on the site how should we organize the forums to include more granular forums such as Texas vs. North Texas vs. South etc.? Thanks

Mark

Obviously I don't live in Texas, but a North Texas, Central Texas, South Texas series of forums seems a little excessive given that there are only three dealerships in the state (4 allocated/3 open). IMO, the addition of a single Texas forum seems to be justified.

Another thing to consider is that Mid-Atlantic has 13 dealerships and 1 forum. If I were looking at a place to subdivide things more finely I'd do it in Mid-Atlantic before parsing Texas into even smaller pieces.

Perhaps you can set it up most logically by the area that would be served by any given club. For example, I envision our club as serving Western PA, Eastern Ohio and West VA. Geographically it makes sense, since for example, it's doubtful people from Philly in eastern PA would be interested in events in Pittsburgh. We are a good 4 hours apart. I suppose from there you can have a State board, but as far as Western PA is concerned, Eastern PA might as well be in another state. I'm sure Texans can relate, since it's cities seem worlds apart. There are several places around the country that call themselves the "Tri-State" area, (as we have here in W. PA) that in my opinion it seems like establishing "natural" regions makes the most sense.

I just looked at this link, and I think it's a perfect solution! For example, it lists our Western PA region as Allegheny, which would work for us too.

We do need something different. For example, I'm in Florida, which could be considered either the south, or the southeast. Most of us post in the SE forum, but FL is a pretty active state, IMHO. Could we get our own section...I mean..Cali has a couple...lol.

Exactly!

What states are in what regions.
I know they cross boundaries.
Kentucky could be South, Midwest, etc.

Could we add the states to the regions somehow?
If KY is in south and Midwest, then label each region with KY.

Could this be done so we know and searchers know where to look EXACTLY for events and such?

Perpetual thanks,
