Is NAM broke or what?

I'm on my second Mini. When i got my first one i discovered NAM and thought, what a great resource! Good information, great people, it don't get any better than this. Not so much anymore. I read all the new posts daily and it's getting real tiresome to read through post after post when someone is just trying to get information on how to do a peticular mod and all kinds of members have to jump in and give their 2-cents on why they should or should not do that peticular mod. If the original poster was looking for opinions then thats great, but why do people have to give their personal opinions when the op was just wanting information on how to perform a mod to their car. I like the fact that I can come to NAM and find all kinds of information on how to personalize my car. Lets all remember it is their car not ours. If members would just quit giving their own personal opinions unless ask for it, then finding the information we came to this forum for would be sooooo much easier and quicker. I'll climb down off my soapbox now. Thanks and have a great day!

I'm not sure what to say to that except "um, welcome to internet forums".

How would this make the site "broke"?

I don't know what to say expept "it don't have to be this way"I go to plenty of other forums where posters act like adults. Some members here act like they are on a mission from God to make other people see their point of view. All I am saying is that with all the flaming that goes on it makes it harder to get the information your looking for in a timely fashion.

I think you're probably right, in some circumstances. The drivetrain modification sections here are full of people trying to sway people one way or the other.

I think the important thing to remember is that most mods are simply personal preference. Do what you like, and who cares what anyone else thinks about it.

Well my opinion is that you not complain about the forums because I am an over opinionated d-bag who is going to argue my point with no logical evidence or research and further more everyone else is wrong as which I am using my reference of my own post as my non-logical nonsense.

Nah I am j/k thats just how some people are on the interwebs they think the know everything. Really if people were to come here use the search bar and look and not ask repetitive questions like that of exhaust or intakes it would all be good.

The key here Porthos is "Search Bar", many Newbies don't do this and otherwise clog the Forums with Stupid **** questions, or better yet have you seen some of the Gramar that has been used lately??

People with opinions will be just that "people with opinions" everybody's got one!!

I like the option of previewing OP Posts by running my cursor over the Title if it sounds Stupid...it probably is. I see many people still replying to these and I just !!

I Love NAM, but I have to agree that we are in the land of the Internet, good or bad!!

Ya. Everyone here has their pet peeves, mine is how much I can stand to get to in depth with performance relating to the MINI because no one thinks out of the box. Some have just by upgrading the turbo but, it still stands tat everyone thinks if they add an intake and an exhaust they should be running over 200hp and running 10s in the 1/4 mile.

i fully agree. the whole shifting gears with more posts concept is the major source of this issue.

moderators are also guilty of this.

you know what they say....opinions are like bungholes, so keep yours to yourself, people.
