Server issues

Everyone - As you probably noticed this morning the site became unresponsive. I've restarted the server and all appears to be working correctly at this point in time. That said I have been doing some basic ground work to migrate to a new server. I'll continue monitoring the current server condition as well as work on a migration strategy with our dedicated hosting provider. I'd like to get this migration in place soon but I am in a current time constraint with upcoming travel at the beginning of June. I'll do my best to get the migration in place prior to my departure but it may require several weeks as the migration is non-trivial. Thanks for your patience!

Mark

Just curious. The clock the posts use appears to me to be an hour off. Maybe server didn't pick up daylight savings time setting when it was rebooted?

Another strange problem...I've opened a ticket with our host to have them look into this as well.

Server has been running fine for me--maybe intermittent once in awhile a few days ago. Everyone just take a deep breath and step away from the computer for awhile to have a glass of water. Or better yet, have a seat in your MINI and think happy thoughts!

I have not been able to access the site during the day since Monday of this week. I am able to connect in the evening though. Weirdness.

I noticed that after about 10 PM Central, the site bogs down quite a bit, and by midnight to 1 AM Central, it takes forever to load, making it basically unusable for we night owls and early birds.

Same ol' problem that's been going on for months now... most, if not every morning between the approximate hours of 5:30-6:45 EST, the site does not respond. Then it slowly improves from non-responsive to slowwwwwwwwwwwwww to normal. By 7:00 am EST, it's back to business as usual.

No huge deal, I'm just adjusting my surfing schedule around the problem. The folks at ESPN.com, Weather.com, CNN.com, and Yahoo.com are probably glad NAM is having this issue.

Mark, thank you for resolving this issue with the hosting provider. This is the first time I have been able to access NAM in six days.

Thanks for letting us know what's up. I have been able to log on at work, but not a home. Just the opposite of some. Glad to hear it's on the mend.

It appears that the routing problem has been resolved. Let me know if anyone is still having problems. Thanks for everyone's patience!
