We put the bonnet stripes on last night but we're not happy with the results. Too much bubbling and creasing around the front contouring of the hood. Used the dry method, maybe try the wet method next time.

OK, wasn't too happy with how the OEM black/white bonnet stripes went on using the dry method, so we yanked them off and started over. I had originally purchased some 3M wide black stripes and separate thin silver stripes for the bonnet (I didn't know I was getting separate pieces). We used the wet method tonight with great success! I'll get pics in the sun tomorrow.
We installed a new battery in anticipation of our subwoofer enclosure arriving (which will cover battery location). Used a Duracell SLI47H5M and it was a perfect fit with vent located in correct position to attach to tubing.
Installed the rear fog light last night. The car was pre-wired for it, so that was the easy part. We had previously added the 6 toggle switch panel with the rear fog toggle. We enabled the rear fog by coding the BC1 on our laptop. One nice surprise was when we turned on the fog light, the toggle switch had a little tiny light on it that we didn't even notice!
My son removing the old plug.
Fog lamp installed
Fog lamp turned on
I didn't even know there would be a tiny light in the rear fog toggle switch. We haven't added the front fogs yet.
We installed the OEM factory alarm kit last night. Purchased the turn signal with integrated flashing red light also. Our car was totally pre-wired for the alarm so it went in pretty easily. We enabled the alarm by coding it with our laptop. The red light did not flash until after coding on ours. Most of the alarm related coding was already enabled, just had to change the one master alarm setting to Active. One piece of advice, don't over tighten the nut on the stud while mounting the siren! Tested it with a wave of the hand and boy it's loud! Very high pitched alarm.
Nice job on the alarm! I just installed the alarm stalk this weekend and my light flashes w/o the alarm, although it doesn't start flashing until a minute or two after the doors are locked. WIth the alarm does it start flashing right away?
A few questions on the install... did you need to use anything from the kit to install the ultrasonic alarm, or did the unit snap into the housing without the bracket? Also, with the car pre-wired, did you only use the siren and bracket, alarm stalk, ultrasonic detector, and programming? I've seen a factory alarm module, but I'm not sure if it's only for the pre-facelift cars.
Where did you get your programming cable and software?

Thanks!
When I arm the alarm with the fob it flashes once right away, then maybe 10 seconds later it starts its normal flashing.
You probably won't need those 2 white plastic brackets for the ultrasonic sensor if you have the cover on the headliner, those 2 white pieces were already in my car (facelift 2005 S).
I believe there was a factory kit for pre-facelift cars that included the wiper stalk and separate tilt sensor to be wired with included harness (a huge job if you have to add the harness). Sounds like the siren now incorporates the tilt sensor. My '05 has the red light on the turn signal stalk since the yellow light is on the wiper stalk.
I got my programming cable on eBay. I think I posted a link to it earlier in this thread. I highly recommend this seller. It came with a 32Gb thumb drive that had EVERYTHING I needed on it including some VERY simple instructions (some sort of HTML web format) on how to code the car. Everything I was reading online was much more difficult to understand. I do now use NCS Dummy to help with the translations though.
Thanks for the info. I have a FL '05 which should be pre-wired, but I'll look for the siren and sensor connectors along with the brackets under the sensor cover before buying the rest of the parts.
I got a rear view mirror with Home Link and Auto Dimming on eBay. We installed it and the Home Link and Auto Dimming worked great, but the key fobs no longer worked with the car. We tried all the procedures to re-link the keys to the car, but nothing was working. After disassembling the new mirror, we found a lot of corrosion on the receiver PCB which killed it.
We were able to swap the old mirror's receiver PCB into the new mirror even though they weren't exactly the same. Got everything working! Bye Bye garage door remote. New mirror with Home Link.
Inside old and new mirrors.
Both PCB's. Old one is corroded and not functional anymore.
We decided that before we put the new chrome trim and license plate holder on the bumper, it should be re-finished. Lots of dents and chips. While removing it, we found a lot of the associated trim and guard pieces were heavily damaged. Ordered a bunch of new parts. In the mean time can't really drive the car much.
Installed a new cabin air filter. Original looks like it had been in there for quite a while. The cover wasn't snapped all the was on it the back so it was probably leaking like crazy.
