What % tint on sunroof?

Eyyy what do you guys think about tinting the sunroof? I don't want to defeat the purpose of the sunroof with 5% tint but also don't want all that heat/sun beaming down on me and my interior. Shop I go to uses ceramic tint but I can also get air 80 clear tint. I was thinking ceramic 20% tint or 30% tint (Same as the rest of car) What do you guys have on your sunroof?

Ps. I don't want to use any sunshade.

I went 20% on mine. I live in California so it was necessary.. I love it.. Also on the back and rear sides, went lighter on the front sides

I am in Vegas so definitely necessary. Do you find there still be plenty light at night, in winter, or when it is nice out? -- with 20%?

My thing isn't with visibility. All windows are at 30%. I just want to be able to look up and enjoy the sunroof if that makes sense so as for it not to feel like i don't even have a sunroof. Which is why i backed out of 5%

Yeah, then 20% is too dark, put it this way, I can look at the sun, kinda like welding mask dark, but not quite.

Just get a windshield sun deflector, cut to fit the front and back sunroofs. BAM! Doesn't matter how much tint you put on, the beaming sun is going to heat it up intensely!

South Carolina had had a hot hot summer, not to mention the humidity...

Mini sunroofs have been known to explode. You might investigate whether the tint has anything to do with that.

I did 15% on the front windows, 5% on the back and hatch, and a 50% on the windshield. Florida is pretty lax about tint. I didn't want anyone seeing my dumb face while I drive. I didn't do my sunroof because the guy who was installing everything else said that he was trained not to do them because it could crack. I thought it was BS but I just wanted to get my car back quickly because I was there for 3 hours.

The windshield tint is amazing. Its always hot here, now if you touch the dash after it has been in the sun, its just warm.

I really need to do my sunroof because I feel the heat on my head when I drive, also the sun comes through the little holes and goes in my eyes.

I was thinking just cutting a sun shade to fit, but I didn't like that idea.

Sunshade is where it's at bro, temporary, works better than tint, combined, I have no issues. Love taking it out after dark and cruising with the sunroof back.

http://zippeeshade.com/ A little more expensive than cutting a sunshade, but very handy.
