R4tC Run for the Corners - UT, AZ, NM, CO - Oct 14, 15, 16 2005

It's a two-day tour in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. We're joining up with MINI5280 and MOTR in Colorado for some scenic high-country touring on this Saturday / Sunday run.

Details are being finalized, so visit the NMMINI forum for details:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...threadid=29890

Basically, meet in Taos, NM Saturday morning (some of us will overnight there Friday night) for an 8-9 a.m. departure. Head west to Chama, NM then north into Colorado, ending the day at Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Park. Some will camp, some will stay in hotels, some will do the B&B thing in and around Alamosa, CO. (Approx. 250 miles)

Sunday will see more driving up into Colorado through mountains and likely over the Royal Gorge. (approx 200-300 miles, depending on drives).

Everyone welcome. I know there are Oklahomans and panhandle Texans looking for some fine mountain drives. Here's your chance! It's not too far for other adjoining states - Arizona and Utah drivers invited.

We have at least 6

MINI's coming down next weekend. Spoke with Kenn Lively of MOTR today and he thinks they may have 3-4 more classics, too.

I will see what I can stir up this week but we anticipate the ride and fun.

We are Friday-nighting in Raton (save a few) and will be to Taos early on Sat...

Thanks.

Jonathan

Run for the Border meets Friday, 6 pm in Denver

at the rock Bottom Brewery, Park Meadows. This is the NW corner of County Line and I-25, sort of back in there a ways, in front of the SoundTrack.

Please confirm here that you will join us and PM me your phone # so we can be in touch...I will send you mine.

We will meet about 6 and leave as soon as all arrive...and we pick up Brad in Colo Springs on the way to Raton that night.

Thanks, this will be fun.

We'll meet you at the bridge in Taos ... Saturday AM

Hi-Ho Silver,

We are leaving early enough to make it all the way to Taos hopefully before the sun sets. We'll see the CO contingent Saturday AM. I wonder what the leaves are doing? Full color or something else. I know my wife is looking forward to the trip.

Miles of smiles up Flechado pass.

R4tC Run for the Corners Tshirts now available!

For those of you going on R4tC (Run for the Corners) please place your Tshirt order HERE. Steve Elkins (YELRSUB) from NM MINIs needs a firm number to be able to place his order. I think you will agree that they are GREAT looking shirts and one you will be proud to have.

Please post with your size (Men's) and we will let you know the price. You will need to pay in advance or when you get there.

Keep in mind that you do not have to be attending the ride to get the Tshirt. If you like it as much as I do, order one.

How to Order? Go to the R4tC Run for the Corners thread in the New Mexico MINIs Forum, and let Steve know. That is it!!

Thanks, have a good time wearing this. It is very nice...
