Wow, what an amazing drive. Special Thanks to Brad Mott for organizing and plotting out the route. For my first MINI group drive, it was amazing. you are all such a wonderful group of people...glad that I am able to share the passion for such wonderful cars with you all.

I uploaded pictured in the gallery under regional events, rocky mountain region...they are on page 15 and 16...but I am going to try to post them here...and we will see what happens.

My prior post was wacked.

Is that the URL when you open the image in its own window? There may be special characters in the reference string.

OK...sorry about that, something wrong with naming the pictures with dashes and dots...but now they are renamed and working....never had that happen before, sorry about that. I will add quotes tomorrow after I get some sleep, go to work, and get back home to work on them. Hope everyone enjoys them as much as I enjoyed the day...I'm in the last picture with my buddy Pat...aka "Vegas Wolverine" hehehe....I am the one driving...we had our serious faces on at this point while doing near 100mph around some twisties in the mountains

Sorry I missed it - looks like a lot more fun than I had laying tile on Saturday!

On a positive note Richard and I had fun at Second Creek Friday morning. He let me drive his car. Very interesting to compare stock versus prepared Mini's. I was turning 1:26-1:27 pushing my car pretty hard; I turned 1:26 in his taking it pretty carefully. (He was turning 1:24's).

GREAT Pictures!! The one on Skyline drive is really cool! Thanks everybody for coming out to the drive.

What does everyone think of a September drive? I will start a different post. I will also forward some pictures of the drive.

Thanks,
Brad

I have gotten a couple of requests for larger pictures from people from the drive on Saturday...if you want them, I would be more than happy to email them to you. They are the same size as what is posted on this thread...640x480, but high res. Pat took almost 70 pictures that day...

Just reminded me which car is yours, I am really bad with names, sorry, and I will forward on all pictures of your car to you, as well as provide me with a good email address....you can PM those to me if you don't want those posted.

cheers
jon

>>What does everyone think of a September drive?

The http://www.rmcb5.com guys are doing a drive on Saturday and Sunday before the track day on the 8th...they are thinking similar route as what you plotted out...that was a great drive, and great roads. I am sure they would not have a problem with you tagging along. I work that weekend, so I won't be there, but will be at track day first thing Monday morning.

I would also be up for another drive with everyone to see the trees changing, but I should probably drive slower to enjoy them. So, pick a date, and I will see if my call schedule allows me to get away long enough to enjoy another fun day with the other MC/MCS clan.

The Colorado English Motoring Conclave is on Sept. 13th and 14th. It costs $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event. This is a two day event. They will have a rally through the mountains with a stop for lunch. On Sunday there is a car show in Arvada. We will be at the car show on the 14th. There should be over 500 British cars at this show. If interested, call Gary George at 303 477-0189. We would love to see a lot of Mini's show up! Another rally sounds like a lot of fun in September. The only weekend we have open is the last weekend but will understand if everyone wants to do it sooner. The pictures were great Brad and we really enjoyed meeting everyone. I think we were quite the sight when we pulled into Cripple Creek right in the middle of the PT Cruiser car show! Ann and Graham, I will be calling you soon with the info about the Conclave. How about a drive up Independence Pass? Amazing drive up Hwy 24, pop out through Aspen and head East or West off of I-70. Don't wait too late, pass will close later in the month.

Cheers

Geoff

That might be interesting. Might not do the drive, but the car show in Arvada sounds great. I think I can make that day. Should we just call Gary or is there a web page for information? Once I get info, I can post it here for everyone.

Jon, They do have a website: http://www.coloradoconclave.com. You can print out the registration form and mail it in. I talked to Gary George this morning and told him that you would be posting it and hopefully a lot of mini's would be there. He was very excited. He suggested getting to the park on Sunday by around 7:00 to get your spot. He is setting up a whole section for the mini's. Hope this helps and thanks for posting it. Nancy

Nancy,

The web site has pretty much everything...so I don't think I will post too much info about it, except that I will start a new thread so people can see it...this is kinda getting burried.
