JCW challenge to USA!

Well I have been hearing some interesting tid bits about the subject! From what I have heard, Mini is thinking about shutting the factory down for one day and building ONLY JCW challenge cars. they would have all the normal JCW power options + beefier (then normal JCW) suspension, brakes, and drive train, (and heres the important part) WITHOUT all the stuff that a racer would have to take out of the car to be legal. ie: AC, heated seats, nav, well any thing that makes the car comfy!

This is hearsay for now. but hopefully it WILL get okey'd and a date set for production! They are looking to sell 150 in the states (I believe) but it might have been just 75.

Just wondering how many people would REALLY be interested in this, if it does happen? And by interested I mean how many people got 35-38 grand lying around to toss into a bad *** factory spec racer? (lets see if anyone can get one before me, and I WILL have one!!)

I'd guess possibly between 75-150 would be interested enough to purchase.

Just curious; where do you hear this? I'd be interested in one if it was going to happen... Even tho, "...35 - 38..." Ouch.

35-38 is REALLY not that bad for a full factory spec race car! If you built one your self it would be far more expensive. And my info comes from a very reliable source within mini. They are doing everything they can to make this happen. I just hope it happens quickly.
