Is anyone else going? I just reserved a non-smoking room at the Red Roof Inn down the road for Saturday and Sunday nights. If anyone wants to split the room with me, that would be great!

I'll be there racing.

Wow... Greg qualified 1st!!! I think there was a lot of shock and dare I say a little horror that a MINI ended up first amongst so many full race 6 cylinder BMW's M3's etc. But the head gasket decided to blow so he was unable to start the sprint race. The only system that hasn't worked as expected on the car has been the coolant system. Lots of theories why, but Greg will have to decide which one fits and what to do about it. This is only the third time out for the car. Just can't believe how fast this car is.

I'll have much more later. But here's what I think is the best picture I have from the two days:

full size

Unfortunately, my panning was just a little off, so in the full size picture things aren't crisp on the car. :(

I'll look at the rest of the photos later, there might be something better...

Jason, thanks, great shot. It's a keeper for sure.
Kudos to you and Brownmini. The worlds fastest Brownmini! Haaa, .. really though, your car looks and sounds sweet around the track, and you drive it so very well. It's a common thing to see Lotus' and Porsches move over for Mini S cars, but not so for just-a-minis.

Now, ... gutting time!

Here's my first sub 1:30 NHMS lap:

And that was before I had an instructor hop in the car on day 2 to help refine my line / give me some new things to try. Unfortunately, there was coolant / water dumped in the bowl for the last session, so I didn't get any fast laps in at the end of the event.

Great drive Jason. Really.

Get that thing back down here. We need to get it about 200lbs lighter.

I'm already a few pounds under the prepared weight for L class club racing. Unless that weight includes the driver... then I have a bit more that can come out of the car.
