My total uneducated guess... the shop reused the cam bolts, and the intake cam has slipped. Or, they didn't get the timing quite right.
The cam code and the charge pressure code are probably related. The charge pressure consequence code is probably due tot he cam angle being off. The O2 sensor code is probably just a coincidence.

The shop diagnosed as bad Vanos Variable Valve Timing solenoids, will be replacing. Total cost about $1000.

I have driven my 2016 Countryman for a day now and no more codes so far since the shop replaced the Vanos solenoids.
They also performed a fuel pressure test and did not find any issue there.
Question, it has about 98,000 miles on it, what preventative maintenance does this board recommend that I can do to avoid another expensive trip to the shop?
This year, this car has had the following:
1. Thermostat housing and cross over pipe
2. Spark plugs
3. Timing belt service
4. Vanos valves
Keep motoring,
Tom

Well, the error codes are back again. Not the Vanos valves I guess. Here are the symptoms:
The error codes come in and the car goes into limp mode at almost the same time and distance from my house on the way out and only when starting cold.
I then clear the codes, and then the car drives fine for a week up to a month.
The it happens again.
No rough driving, it doesn't make any weird sounds, and the idle and acceleration is smooth.
Any ideas?
