Engine not at full power

I have a 07 Hatchback S. Got a light that said engine can't operate at full power. I got the warranty for the timing chain tensioner when I bought the car 2 years back. Any advice for what it could be? If it's the same thing will I still need to pay or could it be "grandfathered" in?

Till the codes are read....nobody knows.
Timing chain issues usually have warnings....a diesel sound or other sounds...but many issues can cause the "full power is not available" warning....

You will have to check to see what the warrenty you bought covers, and make sure it is still in effect....
If you are lucky it is a simple sensor or wiring issue.
I am by no means an expert on the gen2 cars...but unless it is making odd sounds....it would not appear to be a timing chain issue.

With "low input" error, I would suspect a bad sensor or wire.

I'm trying to find a diagram or way to test the sensor online and can't find anything. Anyone have any instructions?

When does it come on? Mine came on when I would get on it under boost and then let off the gas. I suspect mine was from carbon build up but I burned a valve after 6 months of intermittent CEL. If you suspect that; clean the intake valves and save some money!! I'm into my rebuild now at $650.00 not including head rebuild, which I don't have a quote yet... Hope this helps.

It came on after I washed my car. I just started driving it when I felt it then the light came on. I'm hoping the sensor is just bad

P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

To test the sensor, you will have to gain access to the sensor, red arrow below. The reference voltage wire should read around 2.5 volts, for a good sensor. We go over how to test it in our tech aritcle under MINI > tech info (tab at top) > R56 articles > Fuel Injection > Knock sensor Replacing.
