Front break wear sensor cable harness broke
My front cable harness for the brakes wear has been broken. Perhaps a little too aggressive with the car wash LOL.
Could they use any lighter of a wire gauge for the sensor function or what!
Until I can get a new sensor ordered and installed, is it possible to connected the two wires together, and hit them with some heat shrink tube?
Clearly this creates a closed loop, with zero resistance. Does this work, or cause any damage?
My understanding of the sensor is it's closed loop, until tit's worn away on the rotor and becomes open loop.
Dash light for brakes driving me nuts...front pads are all 11mm, both sides, with signs of even wear inner to outer.
Thanks!
