EBC Green

Has anyone here had any problems with the front brake sensor not fitting tightly on the EBC Green pads? I had these pads installed a couple of weeks ago and this morning the brake light came on so I took it back and had them check it over and they're saying that the sensor is a bit loose. The sensor was replaced at the time the pads were replaced with one that I bought off ebay. They didn't say it was loose at the time but now they're saying that's why my brake light is on. Before I buy a new sensor I wanted to find out if anyone else has had this problem and if it could possibly be the brake pads.

Thanks!!

the sensor being loose in the pad would not trigger the sensor.

The sensor triggers when the tip of the sensor contacts the rotor due to the pad getting thin. Once the tip contacts the rotor it begins to wear and eventually the wear is so much that a simple loop of wire encased in the plastic is worn away. This causes an open circuit in the sensor and THAT causes the light to come on.

If the sensor was loose at the place where it connects to the wiring harness, the system might see this as an open but that would have NOTHING to do with EBC pads . . .

I've used EBC greens on my 02 and 07 since around 2004 with no problems . . .

Thanks. That's kinda what I thought. I think it's just a bad sensor so I ordered a new one today. We'll see if that solves the problem.
