I drive a 2012 CM s with 60k miles. I was driving this morning and suddenly it stumbles as I accelerate through all my gears when I reach 2500 rpm or over. It kept doing that till I got home and revved the engine a little and it stopped. But I went to give it a test drive and then it felt lifeless as I accelerated, and the half engine light came on. It sounds like when a spark plug dies but am not sure.
Has anyone had similar issues ?? What might it be.

 

my half filled in orange engine light comes on often. when this happens i believe it powers down the engine to protect it. ive deduced mine is related to the quaity of the gas i put in. mine does not seem to like ethanol blends.

 

You need to read the codes. Buy an OBD reader or go to auto parts store to read them. Could be HPFP, plugs, coils, etc.
