Spark plug heat range.

Hello, I'm going to change my spark plugs and would like to go one heat range colder. As of now I have the jb+ nm intake and after work I'll install my invidia exhaust. It's a mcs 2012. Should I go colder or stay the same? I am building towards manic stage 2 and would like to get the right ones now if it doesn't make a difference. Also could someone link me to some or should I go to auto zone.

Thanks for the link. Is that for platinum or iridium i don't see that is says. I also need to know if i can run one stage colder?. I would like to get the best thing for my car considering they aren't that much. Also would i need new coil packs? I only have 35,000 miles on her.

It looks as if the NGK they're talking about are for the JCW and aren't one step colder..., according to the spark plug guide here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ark-plugs.html (scroll down to R56). This thread HERE goes into further discussion and says NGK LKR8AP platinum plugs. However, another poster said they're using ILZKBR7A-8G: http://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Inf...0-035-531-M220 with a JB+ (post #7) as a one step colder plug. Hope this info helps.

I'm too lazy to look up the differences between your 2012 and my 2007 N14 MCS, but here's 2 choices for my colder range plugs ---

OEM was NGK 5992 - ILZKBR7A-8G Heat range 7
Currently using NGK 1422 - ILKR8E6 Heat range 8
Another choice NGK 94290 ILZKR8A Heat range 8

All are iridium, which I'm told is what our coils are designed for. I obviously like NGK, but haven't yet tried the 94920 version. Really happy with the 1422's.

Hope this helps ---
