Acceleration hesitation on R60 Non-S

Hi Guys,
I have a 2012 Countryman non-s. I have a acceleration spudder at about 2-3000 RPM. I don not have a check engine light on and was wondering if anyone has had the same issue. All the threads I have read pertain to turbo S models. I just hit over 50K miles. Thanks guys.

Get the codes read to see if any faults exist. Either at an auto parts store or indy mechanic if you don't want to buy an OBDii reader. Could be something simple like gas, plugs or coils.

When I had my 2012 CM (also a non-S), I had the same issue. At first, I thought the transmission was slipping (it was an auto). Turned out that the ignition coils needed replacing.

Thanks ASKthteach for your inout. I was leaning towards the same conclusion. I ordered a set of spark plugs to see if that corrects it if not I was going to go for the coils.

Coils don't usually all fail at once, but spark plugs are notorious for failing before their rated lifespan.

MINI rates them at a 100k mile interval, we see the Cooper sparkplugs failing around 40-50K miles.

I would start with sparkplugs, they're cheap and easy to replace.

Mine had new plugs around 70,000 miles, as the originals were fouled and it threw a CEL. Coils were replaced at just under 90,000 miles.

Why not have the codes read first before you start throwing new parts at it?
