Drove to work this am in a wet slushy mess. Car was outside in the rain all day. When I left work, the front passenger side floor mat was full of water. I pulled the mat out when I got home and the carpet is soaked around the edges of the foot well. Had no passengers today. Window was up tight. No wet boots on that side. Where could the water be coming in?
First, it definitely doesn't smell sweet and seems to be water, not coolant? Are there any signs of water anywhere else in the interior, like up by your rear view mirror? If you have a sunroof, have you checked to make sure your drains are not clogged? Water on the passenger side could be a plugged AC drain, but doubt you're using your AC right now. First, I'd check to see if your drains are free of any debris and that your drain tubes are not disconnected. Definitely make sure to look for any other signs of water in the interior of the car. Good thread HERE with info. Also, make sure the door seal is in good condition.
Doesn't have an odor. Pretty sure it's water. Just the front right floor is wet. Could not detect any wetness on the headliner/rearview mirror. Haven't use the AC except to help defrost occasionally, haven't use it the past few days at all. Front sunroof drain holes drain directly out to the ground when i pour water in them. Not sure how to get to the rear holes. Door seal seems in good shape but I will inspect more closely. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm open to all possibilities. I've only had the car a few months. Doing a little thread searching here reveals this to be a somewhat common problem. Will post more if I figure something out. Now, what's the best way to pull the moisture out of the carpet?
Use a wet vac to get the water out of your carpet. You'll also want to let it dry out after taking a wet vac to it. Make sure the sunroof drain tubes are not disconnected. It's common for them to get disconnected which results in water in the interior. In that thread I posted someone said that they had loose screws on the passenger inner panel that was causing water to get in. Let us know what you find.
Found no loose screws on any panels and door seal appears in good condition all around. I have a theory. Throughout the day that this happened, we had temp fluctuations above and below freezing and varying precipitation from snow, ice, freezing rain and back again all day. Top of the drivers door had ice over it all day. Maybe water froze and expanded in the door gap enough to allow water to seep into the interior and drip off the ceiling onto the floor mat. It appears that the water filled the rubber floor mat and spilled over the edges as opposed to water soaking the carpet from below. Again, just a theory. Since its nice today, I'll run it through the car wash this afternoon and see if any water comes in.

Good idea. You can also have someone take a pressure washer to the door/surrounding area (spray the windshield seal at the top as well) as you sit in the vehicle and see if you see any signs of leakage.
Have you ever changed the windshield? Sometimes, if whoever replaced the windshield, doesn't let the seal cure for the proper amount of time water can seep through any part of that seal. I have had it happen to me before and it can go all the way down to the floor. Just a thought. Good luck!
Have you ever noticed a drip stream on the inside of the windshield? I had the occasional drip, but when parked facing uphill I came out to that same puddle on the passenger side.
It was the upper seal on the windshield. The rubber had pulled away from the windshield, and it was the factory windshield. Used a watery silicone to seal mine, and no leaks since.
I had the same issue with my countryman. It seemed like water was coming down around the A-pillar and coming under the vent pooling into the passenger area. There was some water by the hinges in the glove area as well.
I brought it into the dealer several times. They tried new window seals, tightening doors and none of that worked. Finally on the 4th time it was fixed. I'm not sure what they did but it is no longer leaking.
It seemed mine was only leaking when parked on the right side of the street which caused it to lean that way. If I had to guess, I think it was something in the sunroof area and drain plugs. I kept my cool, but you have to keep pressing them and give them as much information as possible.
Windows are original as near as I can tell. I'm not the original owner. A trip through the automatic (touchless) car wash caused no leaks. I will try again with someone outside using the pressure washer while I look for problems inside. Sunroof drain holes are clear and drain out to the ground. I have an appointment at the dealer on March 5. I'll bring it up but can't really expect much if I can't replicate the problem. thanks for all the suggestions.

Reason: additional info
Nope. Happened just that one time. That day, the whole roof and over the tops of the doors was covered in slush. Temps fluctuated around freezing all day. Water came in somewhere, I just can't figure out where. I'll post again if I ever figure it out.
This problem just happened to my countryman 2014. It's my wife's car and she told me the other day that the passenger side floor was full of water. I went out to check and both front and back passenger floors were soaked with standing water. So.... the fun started. I'm a bit of a gear head, but only with airplanes. So I started taking the car apart to find the problem. Read a few posts about it first and checked the usual suspect areas, like the batter cover, the door seals, and windshield. Nothing appeared to be out of he ordinary. Next I had to get the carpet dry to prevent mold, and hopefully in the process find the leak. By the way it's not coolant. It's fresh water. So, soon discovered that the whole interior needed removed to get the carpenter out. That's what I did. Passenger seat, rear seats, driver seat, all the trim, center concole removed. With all that removed I was able to get the carpet with the foam out of the car. There was about 2 inches of standing water in the passenger side. Now the real problem. I found that the heater housing drain had gotten ripped while pulling out the carpet, however it might be the culprit for the leaky floor. I can't tell. Because now, after I reinstalled he driver and passenger seat, re connected the airbag plugs under each, the car will not start. Yes the airbag service light is on because I disconnected them ( like a dumby) the car turns over but won't start. Does anyone know if that is a function of the airbag light being illuminated? Also, does anyone have experience changing out that heater housing drain tube under the heater core? Spent all day on this project and I definitely opened up a big can of worms that hopefully I can figure out. Thanks for the help.

Confirm connections to the fuse box at the passenger kick panel.
No sunroof, pax fuse panel good. Something that might be possible for the non starting is when I pulled the carpet out I had to disconnect the gas pedal, which scary enough is connected by one plug and one screw...... maybe disconnecting that plug threw a do not start code that needs cleared. Thoughts?

gas paddle shouldn't let the car not start. Doest it crank but not start or it doesn't do any thing?
Check my post "struck by lightening or flooded" and i have another post "she drawned but help on the way R60 edition".
I can check foe you tonight is gas paddle is an issue.
