Idle issues
Idle issues
I have a 2012 Countryman S All4. Not too long after I first got it, it started trying to stall out at the first stop sign leaving my house in the morning. By the second stop, the idle was fine. It also idles fine when it is first cranked before I leave the drive way. The issue happens with/without the heat or AC, in and out of gear, full or nearly empty gas tank, etc.
This didn't happen every day in the beginning but now it does. I have taken it in to the dealer 2x now. The computer shows no codes. At first they wrote it off as a fuel problem but I always use premium. They sent me home with fuel additive which did not help. The second time, they cleared all the adaptive driving stuff and told me to drive it hard. That has made it worse. It now nearly stalls at the first stop sign every morning and sometimes again at the first stop sign after I leave work. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any idea what it might be?

I cannot believe it has been a month since I last posted to this thread. I have taken the Countryman back in 2x in the last month for a week each. They say they are not to be able to replicate the issue. They did replace the fuel pump but not the temp sensor. I picked up the car an hour ago and it did the rough idle on the way home. They claim they cannot replace the part until the recall applys to my specific car or it throws a code.

I had a similar issue with mine turned out the cooling system was not holding pressure due to a worn gasket on the thermostat housing. Replaced it and all is well now. The dealer can do a pressure test on it.
I've had the same issue with m '12 All4 when it's cold. Been to the dealer a for this among other things but they say they can't duplicate the problem and suggest using only quality premium fuel (duh!). Very frustrating when its below 30F. When I back out of my driveway and put in 1st I'm facing up a steep hill and that's where its really noticeable.
Also when leaving work, I get the same thing until I've passed my 2nd or 3rd stop siignal.
