Change the side scuttle lights from amber to white?

So I just got my brand new 2013 Countryman (base) 4 weeks ago and I love it... except I am now kicking myself for not going with the "white turn signals" option because I totally HATE the amber colored lights on the side scuttle... (see attached photo for exactly what I mean)

Is there any way I can change this (to white), whether it be an aftermarket solution or could I even do it through the dealer? I've already tried researching this forum for solutions but couldn't find any exact answers, so I'm appealing to the community for any knowledge you may have!

Many thanks!

Several vendors sell clear lenses for the side scuttles with an orange bulb for the hardtop MINIs. Assume some have developed and sell them for Countryman too.

You've done a search on the internet already, I assume.

Wow. I am glad I got the xenon which changes it to white turn signals. I didn't really care about the yellow flasher in the front, but yeah, I wouldn't want the yellow lights on the side. I don't think the online configuration tool made that clear.

Thanks all for the speedy replies - so I'm assuming (I'm a computer geek but not a car geek, so I am not super great with this stuff) that you are referring to the parts numbered 63139802569 and 63139802570?
Also - Does anyone know if these are easy to install? Are there any manuals out there or should I hire a pro?

Thanks again!

Yes. You would need 569 and 570. And they are easy to change. Each one has two clips. One at the top and one at the bottom then they just pop out and the new ones pop in.

Make sure to convert the bulb from orange to a silver off/yellow flash style so as to complete the look. The "white turn signal" option just means Mini puts a clear lens in, the bulb is still orange.

You can just spray paint the bulb silver or order them. I used sixity.com to get mine. Make sure to order the same type as you have in. Mini uses two different ones for the front but the sides are all the same.

ECS Tuning is your best bet. This is a simple swap that is very effective. FWIW, there is no such thing as a "base" MINI. They are all either S or non-S.

I use amber LEDs in my side scuttles. Since they are totally white until lit. They blend in perfectly. The amber and silver bulbs are still too noticeable for my taste.

The JCW trim covers ( inlay ) only comes with the "Side Carrier Turn Signal Trim JCW" whole section as pictured above. You can get other inlays separately in sets. This will give you some options.

Mount set for trim panel: #1

Or you can do just the inserts with the mounting set. #1 .

Do you have your original white/clear ones? If so, how much are you willing to sell them for? Thanks.

It looks like for the trim covers and multiple colors you can use the chrome mount set. But should fit an other version.

If you look at the back of the black jack set, you can see the tabs. And how they line up, then it should just snap in.

Let me know how it goes and I will try to help.
