Are those the JCW or custom, how much did they run?

I do want to replace the tips but thinking of just doing a cat back when out, or even getting a custom cat back done.

Nice, tips are 4 inch? Double walled Stainless? EDIT: Thanks saw your update......

I believe that is next to do on ours.

Or just hang out for a full cat-back system.

Don

I really like those exhaust tips! The stock tips are definitely whippy looking.
Is the installation just a simple fastener bolt/clamp or are they welded on.
Also, would you mind sharing the manufacturer/part no. of the tips & where you purchased them?
I'm also wondering if the JCW tips would fit, not sure of the measurements.

Its welded on and they are generic tips. I was thinking about putting the JCW ones on however when we looked at the tips they seemed to be welded on and not pressure fit. Though the 4 inch fill out the bumper cutout well, I'm thinking 3.5 would look more OEM'ish.

I got it done at my friend's shop in Long Beach/Lakewood area. Allied Muffler. Bob is the owner.

Everything looks great...except for the Michigan plate holder! I'm a Golden Gopher alum (yes, I admit it) so I can't root for the Wolverines.

FWIW, I love my JCW wheel and shift ****.

Factory and "kit" JCW are different, at least on R56

The factory one does not have "tips" in the conventional sense. Instead the ends are machined with a broad flare and angle cut, and then chromed. All integral w/ the rear section of the exhaust. The "kit" ones are separate pieces that are nicely chromed and engraved. Lots of fit/compatibility issues apparently even on those w/ other Mini's, so you will want to look and measure carefully if interested.

Do you have any pics posted of the JCW wheel and shift ****? I've been debating...

Thanks!

In full agreement about the steering wheel, and love the JCW shift **** too--it's a great piece. I guess a similar one for the auto isn't necessary.

The shiftknob and steering wheel were replaced when I pocked up the car. I can't imagine changing the **** is hard, though. I did it on my old Cooper S; it took seconds, but I can't remember doing it--it was nine years ago.

Stop by the dealership or call them and talk with a mechanic. They'll be glad to help.

The wheel (with one carbon fiber insert) was over $400, and if memory serves me, the shift **** was about $175.

Just a good yank…UP and it popped off…Was more work getting the small plastic ring off to get the leather boot undone.. I paid $179. for the JCW Carbon Fiber shipped free to my dealer for p/u.

I'd like the JCW Carbon Fiber steering wheel…close to $500. and I heard another 300+ for the service to install. I need to spend my $$ on some performance tires as my 19" NE Wheels have shipped and due here friday

docfink…Does your JCW shifter move or is it locked in ? I don't mean up & down…but sort of spins a little left & right. It seems to drop in nice and locks…but there is some movement back and fourth.
