No movement here...maybe undo it, spray windex and reinstall...

...if that doesn't do it, take it to the shop.

That looks sick! I can't wait to see the final install!

Are you doing all the work yourself? Is that a carbon fiber skin, paint or something else? Nice work!

Thanks, it's part of what we do here…abrasive blast..also known as sand blasting…but we use steel grit, aluminum oxide, glass bead or crushed glass to clean and strip the existing coatings back to bare metals, all dependent on the material, painting, powder coating, and heat treating. Mostly aerospace, mfg., industrial, commercial..but we enjoy the fun stuff as well, wheels, car, truck & bike frames.
The carbon fiber is part of a process called Hydrographics…a lot of prep work…masking, prime epoxy, sand, urethane, sand & float the pattern and then a dip in the tank with the piece. Everything we do…it's all about the correct prep. whether paint, powder etc.

How did you remove the "Cooper" placard on the trunk lid?

I had it removed when I got it detailed. However, its easy to remove. Get some tooth floss, hair dryer and some adhesive remover. Heat it up to lossen the adhesive then use tooth floss to remove it. The use adhesive remover to get off all the left over gunk. Then use polish and sealant.

Tips

I think the new tips will be my first upgrade. In fact I'd like to get them before the car comes in, it's an "S" if that matters, but are these the right inlet size to go with the 4" outlet:

Same ones I got...they have to modify it slightly...

When they jack your car up...look how big the muffler is.

Summit Racing has them for under $35 ea and should be free shipping.

Magnaflow tips should also have a lifetime warranty.

At first I didnt notice much, but its been a week now and I found the sport button.. There is a noticable difference in sound. Its not loud by any means, but its has a little more sound. The pop and burble is awesome.. Even as hot as its been here I've had the windows down all week..

I added these tips. Black Powder coat looks so sweet..

Here's a mod I'd like to see - change the clutch engagement point to be closer to the floor.

Yes. Didn't use the paddle shifters and you can't have a JCW with paddle shifters unless you modify it. You do need a different harness though.

The JCW is thicker and has alcantara. It's a nice upgrade and I'm happy with it. It's a nice complement to the JCW shift ****.

The JCW Steering wheel is either all leather (which I have) or leather/alcantara. Its thicker and is a nice upgrade over stock.
