Planning to fit these over the next couple of weeks.
whilst I’m there anything else worth doing?
alrady done rear ARB /sway bar bushes with purple power flex.
So I’ve ordered OEM front ‘repair kit support bearing’ for each side & OEM upper and lower spring pads, and for the rear, power flex rear shock top mount bushes.
Anything else, or any advice from someone who has done it before I start the job?
I don't know how much the Eibach's will lower the car but you might want to consider cutting the bump stops. My son has a JCW R61 that has NM springs -- they were on the car when we bought it. On fun roads, the ride in back can be a little jolting.
About an inch (30mm) lower I think.
Thanks for that. The parts are almost all here. From what I can see the power flex bushes are actually rear bump stops. It’s a bit difficult to tell though without it all in pieces!
In the image you posted a few posts back, the bumpstop on the rear shock is #6. The bushings aren't shown in that image. I have the PowerFlex bushings on the rears as well and they aren't the same as the bump stops. Is this what you ordered:
While on this topic, has anyone here installed the PowerFlex rear diff bushings? If so, do they make a difference?
What a difference. So much improvement in ride quality it’s difficult to know where to begin.
Less harsh, jarring ride, more taught and controlled, not hard at all. I barely feel the potholes it used to crash into and my kids used to complain about! Even with run flats.
Sharper handling too. Super happy.
So, for those wanting to try - easy DIY with basic tools, just follow newtis instructions.
lessons learned:
I bought a genuine front top mount kit for each side which included all the new nuts and bolts you need (31352444418). To be honest you could easily re use the existing ones, although it does say to replace them all in the newtis instructions. The old top mounts had cracked rubber but the bearings were still good. Replaced anyway.
I also bought new top and bottom spring pads (8 & 11). Cheap enough but uneccessay. Again it said to replace....
No 9 bump stop on the front (aka aux damper) doesn’t even fit the bilstein shocks so don’t bother with that, and No3, the nut holding the whole strut together, is a different size on the bilstein than the OEM shock. (And there is one in the box).
So in hindsight I would have simply bought aftermarket top mounts from lemforder or similar quality supplier and saved myself some cash.
No special tools required other than a basic spring compressor and a good dose of penetrating fluid on everything first.

LEMFORDER IS BMW brand. They even have to grind off and fill with epoxy any" BMW MINI "name stamped on the part. KYB mounts are garbage FYI.
