Not hard with the right tools and patience... I recommend doing the Alta uprated spring = $20 ish, It will out last your stock DV, while adding improved performance and the capability of withstanding increased boost pressure👍 if your stock DV diaphragm fails remove spring add to new OEM DV= $69.00 and reinstall = Solid Results...👌

You would be looking for N18, R60 and R56 share the same Motor. I don't have a video, but I'm sure there is a write up somewhere. Pretty straight forward, hardest part is gaining access to the three hex bolts mounting the DV to the Turbo...

Up date. just got the spring, came with really simple directions (from Alta) had no problems taking it off. Results are wow, didn't think the spring would make that big of a diff but you sure can feel it. takes off even faster now. . now my wifes all "slow down, were gonna die". lol. thanks for the info. cooling the eng off to put better SP's in tonight

Good call on the Alta Spring. The Mod bug just bite me this last week. I am starting off slow, and the first thing I did was the Stiffy spring and the Alta Hot side boost tube. Those two made a huge difference. I did the tube first, really helped with off idle power and response, less turbo lag and the car feels a bit more responsive. The spring helped out too, it really helps minimize boost drop between shifts.
I do think if the diaphragm tears on the OEM valve I might just get the Forge unit. Seems to work a bit better, but not worth the $ or work right now with the upgraded oem unit working fan-freaking-tastic.

how did you change the DV? I know like how to do it but it seems they’ve made it super hard to change it in the Countryman. I can get my allon wrench to the bolts on the DV. ANY thoughts?
