R59 Tpms
Tpms
Hi all, new to the forum, but not to MINIs. We have a 2013 Roadster with a TPMS issue that we have not been able to resolve. When we try to reset the system it says it is Inactive. The tires all show correct tire pressure, and the tire shop says that the sensors show they are active and sending. Has anyone seen this Inactive message and could you share what the solution was? The tires are original to the vehicle and we have about 17k miles on the clock. I hate to change the sensors out only to find that they weren’t the issue.
thanks for any help!

Thanks Capt BJ! Expensive piece of equipment, but may go ahead and invest. Haven’t found a good local mechanic, so trying to troubleshoot problems and do what I can before I take it into an out of town shop.
We have had a drain on the battery we haven’t been able to diagnose. If the car sits for 5 days the battery is dead. We have started keeping it on a tender. The battery was replaced not long ago and the shop said they paired it to the vehicle. But can’t quite figure out what is causing the battery drain.

The battery drain issue could be that it is still sensing the key. Try locking the doors and putting the key far away. I was leaving my key hung up in the garage with the car and was also having the battery drain issue.
