Amber tpms wont reset after tire rotation
Amber tpms wont reset after tire rotation
After reading several threads on the tpms indicator staying on after tire rotation, I am even more confused on how to correct this issue. I have a 2008 cooper s and everything worked fine with the tpms untill I rotated the runflats from the front to back and visa a versa. I thought I was carefull when rotating the tires but cant get the amber indicator above the stering wheel to go out. The tire pressures have been checked and read 40psi on all four. Is there some procedure to reset the tpms other than holding in the button on the turn signal at the set info menu. I could rotate the tires back to see if it works correctly but logically that should not make a differance. Any suggestions would be helpful as I do not want to trek 60 plus miles to the dealer as the local shops dont know much about Coopers
That is quite possible and I will look into that but it just seems odd how the light came on as soon as I was done with the rotation. Are the batteries easily accessible or is this a project in itself? If this winds up being the culprit do you have a suggestion on a retailer who would carry this item?
the batteries are not replaceable, you will need new sensors
the tires must be removed from the wheels to fit them
you will need part #2, you can see where it fits in the decal, part #4
the tire fitter will insist on new part #3 also

Thank you for the additional info. Sounds like it would be a good time to get that done when I change out the tires in the next couple of months. Appreciate the help. I will post the fix for others when its accomplished
