Eclipse Gray Roadster. Black or White Stripes?

My Roadster is arriving in about 6 hours. I have choice of black or silver stripping. Any suggestions on which route I should go?

Let the opinions starts.

inerior is JCW Championship leather red stripe seats. Carbon black color line. I will be adding a red pinstripe on all the panels and color lines to balance the car out interior wise.

Did your roadster get the hood insulator? My guy was suppose to be a stripe delete, but came with a black stripe that we took off. But, it has the hood insulator. We've been thinking that because it came with the stripe, that the factory puts the hood insulator on to protect the stripe on account of the heat. With the insulator, mine doesn't get hot at all, but I also have the NM Titanium shield too, now.

hemisedan, your S came with the hood insulator? Any chance you could provide the part number? I stopped by Patrick MINI a month ago and they ordered 2 different blankets. The part # for the full blanket with shielding in the front, the one some JCWs are getting, wasn't in their system.

Paul,

I'll check tomorrow when I can see something, maybe. I'll see if I can find that part number and get out for you. The one that I have covers about 2/3rds of the hood, especially in the front, and is made of gray hard foam type insulation. It works. Unfortunately, the scoop is not open, but I'm sure it could be opened if one wanted to, but that would also defeat some of the heat resistance.

My Hotchkiss sway bar came today. Really looks great in it's black powder coat. Even has directions, which with Mini accessories I'm beginning to think that no directions come with anything. Also got the ClearShield put on today at the Mini dealer here in Des Moines. The guy that does it is really good, and it looks like it too. Price was nice, but then again I didn't get the full treatment, I cut the hood part out. Just hate the line running across the hood. I'm pleased.

Bill
