Cleaned the roadster prior to our trip north from the Smokies. My wife noticed the paint rubbing off the inside of the boot lid and the rear body panel. Anyone else see this? I'll get better pix later today.

I have some paint rubbing off where the rubber wiring "snake" hits the bodywork. I didn't notice the spots that you pointed out, I'll look next time.

Yeah, there seems to be a misalignment or something causing that to happen. Going to keep an eye on mine.

I found a couple of other small spots, near the "points" of the forward edge of the boot lid. It looks like one of the forward pivots on the hinge is just touching the bodywork, perhaps just with vibration. I'll try a photo this weeknd.

I have the same problem. The paint scrape is just below the pivot point of the right forward boot hinge. It is not pinching when at rest. Dealer thinks it happens as a result of torsion during driving. They showed it to a factory rep last week and have ordered replacement hinges. They told me that when the part arrives i should expect it to leave it in the shop for two days for replacement, paint and leak testing.

Car is two months old with less than 2500 miles. The scrape is little more than a scratch down into the primer but the concern is that since it is on the wet side of the boot gasket the scratch would provide a route for rust/corrosion over time.

Thanks! I hope I can have as good an experience with mine. I have the top rubbing, the hinge scars, and the "snake-bite" to deal with. I hope I get a good loaner...

Just an update. Went for service this week, and the dealer did three things to rectify the paint rubbing:
1) adjusted the rubber bump stops on the boot lid to make it sit a little differently
2) touched up the rub points with body-colour paint
3) fitted small patches of "clear bra" type film over the rub points to help ensure they don't affect the paint again.

I thought I'd post this here... I had some black gloss vinyl. I made two circular patch with it and placed them where the rubber was meeting with the paint. Fixed . . . for now . . .
