Haven't had any luck trying to get details... just emailed my MA and asked for him to get details.... You guys are obviously much more adept with technology.... How do you know the Tirranna is docking/ This is cool!

ChefTyGuy: You're going out tomorrow right? Now is the weird time, also suspensful time as there will be no news until Nova Scotia. You can follow them thru the English Channel, until they get to the Atlantic thru www.Marinetraffic.com, then go to live site, This works pretty good. It's coming soon, all of them.

i've still not received any booking information. The next boat leaving for brunswick is on the 13th. The Boheme left port today and no news. The courage sets sail on Wednesday so fingers crossed for that one.

Actually, since the ships transmit their position every six hours as part of their routine weather reporting you can track them after they leave the Channel and all the way across the pond at this site:

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html

Do a search by ship name and you should be set.

That site is a lot of fun. You will loose them at one point, and pick them up again as they get closer to dock. I would check it every few hours when mine was sailing...helps pass the time

I've always been told this, but I've never been able to track anything past the English Channel, not once, of course that was three years ago, maybe things have changed. Maybe on sailw.inf/shiptrack/index. might get that, but I can't even get anything out of that site. What's seven days not knowing where your new guy is. It'll all be over in three weeks.

I purchased the Marine Traffic app for my IPad - then found the Tiger. It is headed toward SouthHampton from Germany. It is traveling at 17.5 knots. Supposed to be there tomorrow. That will start the 22 days to CA! Middle of April here we come!

Fun isn't it. My Tirranna is stuck at the dock. Probably waiting on Jonacks r59. I thought that earlier it was on the move, but not to be. He'll be a day late in getting started for Baltimore, it appears. I finally got thru the sailwx. site, I was able to find the Tirranna finally. I think they will be better after we get out of the channel. marinetraffic isn't good after the channel, so it's nice to have something else to work with in the Atlantic.

They don't start reporting regularly until the ship is underway and in International Waters.

Last September I tracked the COURAGE (WWL) all the way across the pond. Of course, in a way it made it worse because it seemed to take so long. That little red dot on the chart moved so darned slow...

Did you ever find the webcam of the dock at SouthHampton? I looked and looked and can't find one.

I think you were the exception rather than the rule.

I have purchased several minis and I have never been able to track them all the way with the site you reference. Usually it only tracks through the channel then shows up again near the panama canal.

These sites only report what is sent by the original ship once they are sailing in the open seas and most ships rarely update their location.

Hemi: does it say that on the website, under owner's resources? My site still has me as scheduled for production when, in fact , it has been completed since 3/7...

It is on the WW Lines site. Trace and track, then enter VIN in the cargo area. Then the booking, at dock and now loaded on board. Hope that will help.

Spiney, Well, you could replace that Clubman that you, or your wife has and join the fun. Actually, it is interesting on how an adult, well we are suppose to be adults, can get so wrapped up in this. And, that you, or me in this case, have absolutely NO CONTROL of what is happening to your new member of the family. I had forgotten just how lost one could be, but it's just a time issue now until I pick him up on March 30th.

Bill
