We don't drive open top cars with windows up. Top down, windows down or nothing. Up to 395 mes now and I haven't pushed the Sport button yet. Aren't you'all proud of me? Did run it up to 5200 once. Forgot I had it in manual. What a blast. Gotta wash him when I get home. Still trying to get the Sirius working. Damn thing!!

All freshened up. I really like my color choice, it kinda jumps out at you, especially with the stripes. Put the reworked scuttles on, still needs the wheels yet, to bring or together, I think.

Black Motegi wheels and NON Run flat tires going on as I speak. Should wake things up a bit more. Got some top down driving in yesterday. WOW, I forgot how that feels. Neat. Got an hour and a half now. Still think they could have put a better choice of gauge/gauges in there, but it's what we got,

How often do you wax your roadster, and what products do you use to clean the interior ?
Best,
John
Ps: have a free detailing due... Probably will use in the fall..

Wash weekly. Wax monthly. Clay bar 2x year. Seal coat 2x year. Also important for people with new cars, do not wax until the paint is at least one month old. Interior products = pinnacle.

The best wax that I have found - Provides the best shine, last 6 months and is easy to apply is Eagle One NanoWax. For touch-ups between waxes, I use FW1 Cleaning Wax.

For the interior, I typically use Mequiar's.

Great pix Jonack! That looks like Leominster/Rt. 2 in the background. Is that right?

Finally got a clear day, plus able to get him all cleaned up again. Not very good weather to keep a car clean. Also passed the 500 marker today. Enjoying Lil Raggi, even with the top down. Nothing but compliments, even from non ragtop types.

I've been using Prima Hydro Wash. Amazing stuff. Did two layers of Banana Gloss, and have been refreshing it with Hydro Spray on my weekly washes. Really great system.

I also use Prima Nero on all the plastics that aren't the glossy piano black finish inside the car (I use a tiny bit of hydro spray on the piano black finish).

I'll look into the EagleOne NanoWax... the Banana goes on REALLY easy but only lasts 45-60 days.

Try the Prima Slick for Quick Detail. It is awesome as well!

Congrats to all the new roadster owners! They are all really looking sharp! It is interesting that since the MINIs arrived, we are spending less time on NAM! Lol!

Hey John,

My wife and I are doing our first MINI or any club event as a matter of fact this June.

MINI's ON Top

It's been a while since we've been up to the white mountains. We met in the summer of 69 in North Conway. Can't wait to do Hurricane Mountain Rd. We drove over that road in my 68 Chevelle every few days to Fryeburg ME.

We'll be leaving from your dealer in Bedford. Wife's brother and his wife live in Derry and will drive our 2013 SO Clubman S. He is a Harley guy so was I surprised when he said he wanted to go. The clubman is Harley Orange, that may have factored in ( I'll leave a note on the dash to push the sport button).

Should be fun,

Andy

Question for anyone here: I've always used a car cover for my specialty cars. I've got an outdoor JCW car cover, but as you can guess, it doesn't fit all that well. Do you know of anyone that makes a car cover for the JCW Roadster? Thanks!

Bill
