JCW Roadster leaving England

I just got word today that our Spice Orange JCW Roadster embarks from Southampton tomorrow to arrive in Baltimore on the 22nd. I'm hoping it will arrive in St Louis around the first of April. Hate to get rid of our JCW hatchback (Mutley), but looking forward to the Roadster (Pugsley). The Minis are the first cars my wife has ever named.

Congrats! My JCW Roadster is also being loaded today on the Asian King but it is going to Port Hueneme, CA (3 weeks). Then being shipped to Colorado (Another week). So you'll have a few thousand miles on yours before I see mine. Good Luck!

St. Louis? Excellent! At least one more Roadster plying the roads around here. Good stuff!

Hopefully mine leaves tomorrow too, headed to New York.

EDIT: Just checked, it's on the Don Juan, leaving March 14th and arriving in New York March 23rd!

Great!

Then we can have a (very short) Roadster parade!

I'm used to small parades. Every time I see two other Ducatis at the same time, I declare it a convention.

Should get my JCW Roadster this week

Mine is in Brunswick, GA waiting to get delivered to my dealership in ATL. The wait is horrible!

Should look like this when it arrives

order details

Luckily the JCW comes with a lot of the stuff already. I added: black headlights;lounge championship seats;red dash;tech package; premium package;black wheels;sports suspension;Xexon headlamps;JCW strut brace

Already trying to figure out what I can do to the air intake/filter etc. to push a few more HP without going too far or screwing the warrenty

Nice build, we equipped ours very similarly. I feel the same way about getting a few more ponies out of it. Take a look at http://defendersofspeed.com/store/pr...p?id_product=6 for their CAI. I have read good things about it. In the meantime, lot's of research to be done on the JCW sub forum.

What he said....I should be picking up my ride in another week or two, and I should be getting that intake for my b-day on the 25th :-)

Wow Liquid, please keep us up to date on this mod. Thanks in advance I want to get a first hand report on it's effect on throttle response.

Will do! I have an Alta on the wife's R56 MCSa and it's great, but I do like how the DoS one is more of an actual "cool air intake". I'm excited :-)

Pugsley (Spice Orange JCW Roadster) is due in St. Louis on either Friday or Saturday of this week. I can pick him up either Sat or Mon, depending on which day they get him. It's getting close now, but I still hate to see Mutley (JCW hatchback) go. Oh well, time goes on.

I will be right behind you. I got a call from the dealer last night that my JCW Roadster will be in Baltimore Thursday the 4th. Since they are so close they expect to have it in my hot little hands by next Saturday. It is going to be a very long week of waiting. When I ordered it in January my only hope was to have it for the dragon. Now I will have time to break it in "gently" and get used to it before the drive down. Post some pics when you take delivery. Mine is Chili Red with silver wheels (I know, I know).

Delivery

Reading all of these posts on delivery and up coming deliveries is getting me super excited..
I really still love my current 2006 Cooper, We have had 6 great trouble free years together.
I will say the thought of the new roadster has me nervous and excited at the same time.

Picked my JCW Roadster up on Thursday! WOW, she is fun. Trying to keep her below the recommended 4000RMP for the first 1200 miles is going to be hard

Cornering is as good as I expected, havinf fun taking sharp S bends at 60+.

Getting the windows tinted next Thursday with a Huber Optik ceramic tint.... unfortunately that means top and windows up for 24hrs :( Oh well, that will give me time for a good polish

^ Congrats Paul! Post up some pics so we can see this beauty. The tint will look great on there, unifying the shape
