Funny, yes now is the time....
I picked up new front and back, tinted plate covers, the mini fini cup holder.
Was going to order black jack caps this week.

Seems most of the items for my 2006 wont fit the 2012

I see the rubber floor mats are cut different . Does anyone know if the rubber floor mats from r52 will fit the r59?

Well...I think we could be classified as an obsessed group Yes to your question on accessories, order them now and have them waiting. I have the stubby and union jack side scuttles sitting on my desk at the office
You sail a day after me, getting close. Looking forward to seeing the Roadster in Reef Blue

Here is what I did, for the scuttles, I used 2012 Coupe. They will be the same. Also, I found after a little research that http://BramanAutoParts.com/ had them a lot cheaper than anyone else. Hope this helps.

Looks like our Roadsters won't be making their voyage together after all - I don't seem to be scheduled on any ship going out within the next day or so - if that's the case, delivery won't happen until early May.

Hmm...that's not good news Are you still showing awaiting transport? The Easter Holiday most likely got in the way.

OL still says in production, but ASK MINI says waiting on transport. I'll choose to talk to a "real" person tomorrow and see exactly where I'm at. Oh well, at least I have another MINI to drive during the wait!

Here's one for you.....for giggles I logged into my OL today to see if it said it was "at the dealer" since I saw it on Saturday..........and it has revered back to saying "On Order" hahahaha

Odd part is, my wife's 09 MINI still says "At the distribution center" in her OL even though she's had it for almost 3 years now

Nice, have fun! Definitely sit in the Roadster and experience the top personally. I was able to raise and lower it from the drivers seat, although not real easy. Outside the car, piece of cake.

Got told off by my MA. Sent email to him that stuff I ordered (from their service/parts web site) is @ dealer and asked if it could be installed before pick up as they are 35 miles away and was told that I was only supposed to order through sales. Eek

Sucks for your MA but that's what we call "poor communication." When I rated one of the post-purchase survey questions a 9 out of 10, my MA (who was exceptional, but not perfect), got dinged for it and my phone was ringing off the hook from higher ups trying to "make things right". Apparently on the BMW/MINI survey anything that is not a 10 is interpreted as "dissatisfied". Which is lame and a totally different conversation; In the heat of excitement, especially when the brand new car is sitting right in front you- if the MA doesn't explicitly mention something to you, you're probably not thinking about it. Lesson learned, I guess.

If you PM me your email address I can send a PDF..

My Roadster was in body-in-white yesterday and has gone into the paint shop today - so I was actually at Plant Oxford when my MINI was being built!

Dealership had a Costco price. Crunched the number and it came out to 4% off MSRP. Turns out it was what I was going to ask for. Easiest car purchase ever. Brought in my configured specs, 500.00 deposit. They reconfigured a car the dealer had already ordered. Should have my car in 6 weeks from time I ordered. Much different experience when I bought my first one.

Shouldnt be. There is QA (Quality assurance) as well. I think mine was there for at least 2 days. Next step is train to the port and catching a sail. This process for me just took 9 days from production complete. Was in port in like 4 days. 5 days for loading on a ship. I got discouraged entering the VIN in the shipping web site, but the day it showed up rekindled it all again. Keep trying.

Cheers
