R58 Owner here also. You have a R58 2015 MINI Cooper Coupe JCW,

Back up cam you will need to change the head unit or if you have factory nva, get the piggyback grey box unit CiC .

The JCW need plugs changed from factory every like 30K miles stock. They get changed more often on the JCWs then any other MINI stock.

I just installed unavi to add Carplay. Had it installed with a certified shop from their website. They sell also kits to add backup camera. I have a 2011 Coupe JCW.

It’s not touch screen but it takes up more screen space so it looks good. You use the original joystick control to move it around. You can toggle back to the original interface and use the cd player.
