I have a 2012 Cooper S Coupe with a 6 spd that I purchased used in 2015. AFAIK it has the base sound system. I was looking to overhaul and upgrade my speakers. The current one is ok, but doesn't really have the sound quality that it used to. When I search online, I can easily find front speakers through Bavsound and crutchfield etc, but the results for the rear speakers are fairly inconsistent. They look like 6X9s, but I haven't taken it apart to figure out what the size actually is. I also noticed that it looks like the front has 4 speakers? Is there any difference between the sound system in this car and an R56 of the same era?

Anyone find a good kit for all of the speakers? Is replacing the speakers as annoying as it seems doing everything else on this car is?

Any tips or first hand experience would be awesome.
