Destroyed the R58 Stripes...Help
Hey guys, could really use some advice here.
Had a little incident today as I was power washing the Minis. Got a little too close to mom's R58 and tore right through the rear stripes. I really need to know where I can locate OEM stripes for this thing now, I feel really bad about it to say the least.
I did a search of the forum and closest thing I could find was a dead link to theminipartstore with another member looking for blue stripes for their R58. I'm at a loss here. Suggestions or should I just take it to the dealer?
Thanks

Hey so just an update
I've been scouring the web and came across a website that has all stripes and 48hour shipping free (US as far as I know)
StripeMyMini.com in case anyone else needs it.
Also thanks for the reply I tried eBay too but I'm always a little sketchy of those guys. Much appreciated all the same

More importantly and a warning to others, MINIs do NOT like to be power washed or run thru automated car washes, they do not play well together. This forum is full of negative outcomes associated with the subject.
Too bad the moderator can't put that admonition and a few others like it right on the banner headline of the forum.

I purchased mine via ebay in the uk from a company in germany they came precut to size as would the BMW ones at a fraction of the price and they come with different options as you can see I chose the ones with the smaller stripe at the side .... they look cool
I reccomend a warm hot day it helps with removal of the old stripes the adhesive is pretty strong

Yes difinately Oem standards.
Here’s their site you may need google translate to help but when I enquired about them prior to purchase they were very helpful and in English.
https://www.sbcardesign.de/?page=impressum&editor=
Just to add they come llike the Bmw ones separate sheets.
You spray a weak solution of water and detergent slide them on and once tack taped into place you use a credit card or whatever to squeegy the water out then they stick .. instructions are sent it’s the set
Hope this helps

Lol...I’m in South Carolina as I type on a naval ship visiting here ... and yup some people defiantly don’t know how to drive a manual.... to drive a manual coupe is fun as *****
I can’t wait to get home on my hard earned leave and fire mine back up after a four month period sat on my drive.... she’s gunna get a beasting as we say in th UK

I can only imagine your anticipation. I can only equate learning to drive a manual to what a child must've felt when they finally stopped crawling and started walking. It's the only real way to drive.
To my knowledge the coupe was always the fastest production Mini anyway. Mom's handles like a dream, I've never had the pleasure of getting into one with a turbo. As far as FWD cars go that's likely one of the few I'd genuinely enjoy.
The stripes are perfectly justifiable, the car is capable and after such a long time you deserve to floor it haha

If it is completely touchless, I see no problem. I usually hand wash, but in the winter with the road salts, I go through the touchless carwash. No issues.
The mini is no different than any other car with respect to using automatic car washes. Touch less ok, touch use at your own risk.
No if your OCD, like myself, then hand washing is the only way to go.

If you are in / near Los Angeles then these guys are great for custom stripes.

Posting via my phone; not sure how well this’ll work.
I bought replacement stripes from the guy in Germany. They’re a fantastic match and came with decent instructions. Clearances cut for logos and exact lengths. Plus, the price was good; I own a vinyl cutter and for a little more than the same price as the material would’ve cost me I got everything already ready.
Going to to try to post a pic, hopefully it works:
Looks great.
