Congratulations, it is a very nice one. The silver wheels are really outstanding with this color combo.

Got a chance to throw the car into a few corners up in the hills. This car feels much more responsive and actually less punishing than my old '07 R56 with sport suspension. I am not sure if they dialed in the R58 JCW sport suspension better or the runflat technology has just matured or what. Just a pleasant surprise in the handling department.

The car still does have a little squat+dive which I figure I could dial out with Koni yellows or perhaps the JCW suspension kit. Brakes are fantastic.

Steering feels more accurate than my '07 too. They somehow made this car perform better but also ride better.

Ultimately I picked it over the GP because of styling, convenience and its brand new 7 miles on delivery.

Perhaps I will check out a F56 GP in a few years but for now this car is exactly what I want / need. Time to get the break-in period done and take it to Laguna seca :-)

 

One last comment this car feels a lot lighter than my old R56. Perhaps it's a change in steering boost levels or something. I know on paper it weighs more, but it just feels lighter. I think about cornering and the car is there.

The steering on my '14 Roadster is much lighter than my '10 HT was. It was a welcome change in sport mode.

Really? Then maybe I have them too, I never turned the things on. Hey that's a really awesome car you got there, believe me I know. I agree about the ride, I have the SS and had a 2007 MCS too. It's a freaking cornering beast this car is. I think it's the strengthened frame which is the same as the convertable Roadster's.

 

I show a cut off date of 7/2014 from the gen 2 old version to the new standard Led DRL. Not the add on kit DRL.

Newer standard DRLs.

Well my 2014 was on the dealer lot in 7/13 so I don't have LEDs I'm sure.
