He ordered a JCW Coupe. I am not aware of a new body style for the Coupe or even a Gen 2 Coupe.

The dealer here has about twelve of the 2015 Coupe on the lot in standard and S trim. It is the same as the early 2012 as far as I can see.

My understanding is a JCW Coupe is now a special order on the customer's specs from the factory.

No matter the fog lights.... you will be so happy with a JCW Coupe. When you will drive it and feel how the body is so thigh, you will agree it is a complete different car from the HT.

Again Congratulations.... for waiting and welcome to the few who own one of these little JCW jewels.

Haha yeah I got interrupted before finishing my response. I am looking forward to some good autox and track work too. I loved my '07 Cooper S with mechanical LSD, I know the coupe is much better. I love the styling too.

I might be a bit late on the congrats but, congrats!! White silver is such a beautiful color and the JCW Coupe is pretty darn snazzy.

It's the G2 body style. Only the hatchback is the new F56 this year. The F56 JCW hatch is due out in about a year as a 2016 model. What I don't get is the OP mentioning a GP. I was under the impression he ordered a JCW Coupe, basically the same car as I got this year (2014) only a 2015 year. What's the GP have to do with it? BTW you're gonna love this car, handles different than my 2007 MCS must be the stiffer frame and sport suspension. It's almost too powerful, be careful. I already got a $350 ticket. My other color fave was white silver with red top/stripes. Post pix tomorrow.

Oh I have been doing a bake off between a used GP and an R58 JCW in another thread. I haven't driven the used gp but not the r58 JCW yet if the performance is close enough I am gonna just buy the R58 I ordered.

Well, you will not need a strut bar in the middle of the cabin as the GP2 to keep the unit body from flexing. It is the best Mini you can buy for the money. The Coupe is a bit taboo in the Mini community because it is a completely different car that overall performs better in the econo box market for those who want to buy a small sports car.

As for power, it is not a rocket unless you are at a stop light. It is fine on the freeway but not outstanding and way far to be too powerful as one poster said unless you are only driving in lower gears and always shifting.

Did you buy a manual or A/T?

I think you will find the power more than adequate. The thing about the Coupe is that it looks so much different than the other styles. I swear I've had a dozen people ask what car it is and many more stare at it. I never had that happen with the hatchback. People would ask "how do you like your Mini?" but now the ask what it is.

Coupe is unique and does not look anything else out there, well the upper side window and sill ( Only )without the upper wing does have a Porsche boxer look. Had a person ask while I was driving it :

#1 hey is that new... its 2 years old. (( This was in a big city* close to a MINI dealership ))

#2 is that the new Porsche (( This was in a small town / city ( No MINI dealership around ) ))

lol new Fiat.. not even close. Well they do copy MINI two years later on design. I get the Porsche thing because of the side window and silhouette i guess.
