I am in the process of selling my BMW M Coupe and going back to a Mini. It will be much more economical and appropriate for the island Im moving to.

I cant decide between the Orange Spice/Silver top or Kite Blue/Silver top.

Kite Blue....Finally saw it today on a rare sunny day here in Seattle. NOT my cup of tea. I have yet to see a Spice Orange in person. Would really like to see pics of Spice Orange with SILVER top. Thanks.

I always liked the colors of the MINI Coupé Concept and might have ordered that if offered. Kite Blue looks like the concept color.

I have a Spice Orange/Silver top. Photos do not do it justice. In full sunlight, it is just an amazing color. In darker light, it appears reddish. I get lots of complements.

 

If you look on Auto Trader there are several Kite Blue roadsters! I haven't seen any coupes in KB, though.

 

When the concept photos were first released, I thought they had used a little leftover Electric Blue. Perhaps not. I was disappointed that color combo was not available. I would have gone that way in a heartbeat. Having ordered Lightning Blue & Silver, I look back now & wish I had either gone Spice Orange & Black, or Black on Black (which was my original order, before I wussed out & changed it). If I were going JCW, I'd have gone for the White Silver & Red. Hottest combo out there, for my $$$.

 

You're selling an M Coupe?! Why?...

I used to own one and this car was simply perfect! I actually cried after two years I've had it (it was my first car at 18). I got rear ended by an idiot doing over 100 miles an hour. Car was just never the same anymore after that accident.

As for the colors, I advise against Kite Blue. I personally feel it's hideous. Spice Orange with BLACK roof looks quite good. If I had to do my Coupe all over again, I'd go with either Lightning Blue/Black or Eclipse Gray/Black. Those two look very good!

 

Im moving to a small island where I really wont get to drive the M Coupe like it should be driven. I once owned a Mini, and am going back to it. I just need something to putz around in and still be somewhat fun. I am really wanting to see pics of Spice Orange with a SILVER TOP ONLY. I can find pics of black topped ones all over the internet. Kite blue in person is just not doing it for me...at all.

FINALLY....I Found one....and this is the one for me. Decision made.

 

 

Well gosh darn it... I was in the Mini Dealership today and saw a Kite Blue Roadster with the JCW package. THAT looked sharp! Kite Blue on justacooper looks bland and boring. Kite blue just looks better on some models than others...

decisions, decisions....

 

I have to echo reSERVEDMD's sentiments. If I owned an M Coupe, it wouldn't be going anywhere. Like the Z3M Coupe (but sooooooooo much better looking) that car is destined to be a collector's item and will surely begin appreciating in value at some point. If at all financially possible I'd try to hang onto the M and get a MINI as well. That being said, if I was closer and had the spare funds, your M would be coming home with me!

Sounds like you're still in the shopping mode if you're considering a Roadster now. Colors are a very subjective thing. You couldn't give me a black/black car but that's someone's dream car. Personally I like the JCW Couple silver/red combo. Seeing as how the Coupe's the only Mini with a different COLORed top I'd opt for that just to be unique. I'm not a convertable person.

 

I am buying both a Roadster and a Coupe. My other half is getting the Roadster in Lightening Blue. I am still undecided on the color of my Coupe though.

Its a tossup between Kite Blue and Orange Spice.

Placed my order today! I went with.....

Spice Orange S Coupe silver top/mirrors
-JCW Interior/Exterior package
...and assorted other goodies.

Im peeved that I cant order black Challenge or Black Bullet wheels with the JCW exterior kit. Only silver....Bummer.

Im hoping the dealer will trade out the silver wheels for black ones.

I found an online picture of what mine will look like. Sweet.

 

Attached is my 2013 Coupe. I had the black union jack side scuttles and mirror caps put on as well as cooper stripe. Recently blacked out the headlight and tail light rings myself as well.
