Do they have a product available for the coupe JCW?
What are the options?
Thanks Guys and Gals

I thought the JCW CAI and the DOS one were on par with each other?

Not sure what you mean JCW CAI? There is really no factory JCW CAI kit, if we are just using JCW as a refferance then most R56 items will fit. Besides the DOS that has been mentioned M7 and DDM have units that should work but are expensive.

Just wondering why you want a CAI for the coupe?

Johnf36, thanks for the clarification. I just thought the JCW box was considered to be one of the best on the market compared to aftermarket.

Your Welcome, most of the CAIs for the R56 are more like a warm air intake. Besides the 2 ram air units I talked about the one Blue Toy posted totally gets cold air from outside. For myself I would stay wih the stock JCW and go with a reusable filter

H. STGLTZ,

If you're at all interested in any more info about the DoS CAI system, drop me an email or a PM.

This is the only one I'd buy and I've been thinking about doing just that for some time. While I don't think an intake is a must the DOS seems to be the best looking and only true CAI out there. Gains are most likely minimal as far as fairly radical mods go but if nothing else it sounds badass! Does the factory JCW intake even use a "JCW" intake? Looks like stock to me.

A factory JCW comes with the same air intake as a regular MCS. The JCW Intake you purchase if you get the "JCW KIT" for a MCS has a different air intake with a cone filter.

Yes, you read that correctly, the "add on JCW kit" has something better than a factory JCW.

So, you can still buy the JCW Intake and put it on a factory JCW, and you will see a little gain. But for the price, I'd rather buy the DOS Intake and have a bit more power and a true "Cool Air" intake.
