i read that production wasnt supposed to start until september, but last week i saw an S coupe. it was completely wrapped in a starsky and hutch paint scheme, i wouldve taken a picture but my phone died

 

WTF is a Starsky & Hutch paint job?

 

I wasn't a fan of the show back in the day. If you go to Wikipedia and look up Starsky and Hutch it seems to be a bright red car white, um, darts on the sides.

 

Why would somebody do that to a new coupe?
Seems like it would draw enough attention just being what it is !

Interesting. That still seems like a terrible atrocity though, haha. And I like orange cars!

However the MINI is everything the General Lee is not. Small, nimble, and so forth. To each their own!

 

I don't think there are very many. Some may be dealer cars that were sold right away. I know the dealer i bought mine from had 2 on order for themselves but sold both of them right away. I don't think they are delivered yet. There are not very many on this forum that have bought them. There is a list on this forum of orders from forum users and the last time I checked there were 15 on order. But none have been delivered yet. I still don't had e production date though I think it is going to be soon. At least that's what I think. So to answer your question I don't think there are very many at all.

Isn't MINIUSA in NJ?

 

Unless you work for MINI or have a press car.. I doubt anyone has a Coupe right now.

 

Yes, MINI USA is located in New Jersey so any Coupes you see there are probably corporate demos, press cars, or used for marketing.

 

Just talked to one of my friends dad who works at bmw corp. And said it was owned by someone who works there

 

I eMailed my MA over the weekend about some stuff and asked how many Coupe'rs had been bought at the dealership. Apparently only me right now. Maybe MINI need a little more advertising

 

It is the same at my dealership. I'm the only Coupe order.
